The most appropriate would be a '70s BM6000 quad or the BM4400.

Also worth considering would be a BM4000, BM3000, or even a BM1900/BM2400, IMO.

Whichever you choose, look for one that has had maintenance completed or restored or at least has been frequently used.

Hi Peter thank you for the advice.4400 looks to be the match to 4004.but l did like the design of 2400-2 both units being controlled with remote but unsure if powerful enough to operate m75 beovox which l just now purchased from the Nertherlands regards Kevin

Beomaster 4400 is operated using mechanical sliderule type controls and pushbutton switches = no remote possible.
(Other than a broomstick long enough to reach from the stereo to the couch, alternatively through the wife command system).

Used both 4400 and 2400-2 and a BG4004 with M100s (very similar) The 4400 is one of the best sounding amplifiers B&O made though rather old fashioned, even at its time of manufacture. The 2400-2 however is perfectly capable of driving them and although it seems less good at controlling the bass, this is only noticeable at high volumes. The 2400 is very beautiful...

Beomaster 2400-2 would be a fine choice.
It's not as powerful as Beomaster 4400, but it can do what it can do.
If you like/need power, go for the 4400.
