Hi!
I've just aqquired a set of beovox c75 speakers, which looks to be in good condition, no foam rot or anything, but the left hand speaker sounds muffled compared to the right, which is crisp and clear. Before I run back to the seller, is this something which could be an quick fix, like a build up of dust, or is there something damaged in there?
Sorry to be another newbie with a problem, but I figure you're the best guys to ask about b&o speakers!

I agree with the above. Most likely the tweeter itself. Note that Beovox C75 came with several different tweeters and not allare interchangeable.Depending on the type fitted in your speakers, I may be able to find a good used original replacement.

Is there a way of checking the tweeters to see if they're working properly?
Listen closely to them.Check continuity.Swap them.
Hi,
I've found that they are working, but the sound is very low, it sounds like someone's hand is over the speaker. Here are some photos of the inside if it helps!

In pic one it looks like there are missing pieces to secure the coils, and someone went havoc with a soldering iron, and check the crossovers in both speakers, in the manual there is only one cap, but there may be different versions.
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
It's exactly the same set up in the working speaker

Then lets wait to see what Martin comes up with, but if the tweeter is working good in the good speaker, try to swap them, if the "bad" tweeter is working good in the "good" speaker, the failure may be in the crossover (caps). And check that the connections in both crossovers are exactly the same.
Also if swapping, check Ohm resistance of the tweeters, should be the same + -
Hi all
I've decided to send the speakers back, too much trouble for me to get fixed at the moment, I'm not giving up with B&O though, my beomaster 4000 arrived today, and I'm looking for more beovox speakers for it.
Thanks for all you help guys!

Can I be of any help?
Brengen & Ophalen
I'm looking for smallish speakers for it, nothing larger than the 25cm across, 4ohms preferred and under £100 if you've got any suggestions!
Oops! Can you name some types or else PM me..
hmm, something like a beovox 2200?
I think I have that one, have to look in my "closet". Any other options you might be interested in? Where you from btw?
I'm in Scotland,
I'm interested in any model really, as long as it's no wider than 25cm and will work well with the beomaster 4000
Thanks!
Scotland? Been there several times for my work at the Honeywell office in Newhouse. I will send you a PM what I can offer you!
