Hi all,
That's it! I ordered my BV11 46' this afternoon ;) After a lot of hesitations between the black and the silver frame, I finally choose the silver one. At the end, I feel it's more classic/timeless plus I didn't like the white logo on the black frame (no the most subtle!) If the black was more like a lacquered piano black and the logo tonal, I might have choosen the black though... I also ordered the BeoRemote One in polished aluminium to go with it.
Anyway I'm super excited and looking forward to have it installed.
Delivery is expected mid Jan and the installation end of Jan. I will post some pictures...
Thanks again for all your advices and happy to be soon part of the Beofamily!

BeoVision 11-46 full black - BeoRemote One
Congratulations I'm sure you will really love it.

Funny enough, I had some regrets all the week-end as I had the feeling I did the wrong choice in terms of colour combo. At first I choose the silver frame because it really is a beautiful material but the black is less ostentatious and super elegant IMO (except the white logo).
So I finally changed my order and went for the black frame and the silk finish for the Beoremote One. Again, thanks to all your advices and comments, I agree the silk finish is even more a B&O signature vs the polished aluminium and I will morry less with fingerprints and dents as I have a young kid at home ;)
Have a wonderful new years 'eve
Did you go with a black speaker fret too?? I think the bv11 in all black looks so sleek and if i was able to get one that's the colour i would go with the motorised stand.
Absolutely markiedee, it's exactly the combination I choose! For now, it will be wall-mounted but in few years, when my kid will grow up a little bit, I will put it on the easel stand, it's even more elegant IMO.
I'm really looking forward to have it installed now ;)
Did you get a good price? They sell the BV11-series very cheap in Sweden now.
Beolab 50, Beolab 8000 x 2, Beolab 4000 x 2, BeoSound Core, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century, BeoLit 15, BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay P2, BeoPlay H9 3rd Gen, BeoPlay H6, EarSet 3i, BeoVision Eclipse Gen 2 55", BeoPlay V1-40, BeoCom 6000 and so much else :)
Hi Michael, yes I guess so, I've been lucky I passed my order before the price increases.
I had it for 5990 euros.
I ordered the fixed wall bracket on stb brackets.
Do you guys think I should plan to have a cable ready in case I want to add sub? If I add a subwoofer it will certainly be a BL11 in white. I know some of you have it combined with the BV11. What are your feedbacks?
Thanks
If you plan to add a BL19 then you won't need a cable since it can be used wirelessly. And it is easy to add a cable later and perhaps you want it placed somewhere else when/if you get it later on.The 11-55 is selling for 47990 sek at my retailer (5043 euro) and the 11-46 for 39900 sek (4202 euro).Sure you want a fixed wall bracket? I have a turning bracket for my bedroom V1 and I use the rotation feature very often to move it a little.
Wahoo! price is incredible, you should have told me that earlier ;)
Wouldn't the BL19 be a bit too bassy for the BV11 without additionnal speakers?

B&O product history since 1991: Ridiculously long to list in a signature.
Its their christmas sale, it ends today however, just checked the email I got about a week ago. Was keen to buy a BV11-46 for my office but I think I have enough TV´s already :D

I chose white for my speaker cover, but I'm thinking about ordering the blue one. White is very nice looking, but also a tad boring.
The natural aluminum BL11 looks rather cute with BV11 with silver frame. The finish / polish is the same:

Thanks KMA, that's what I thought... I will wait to have my BV installed and then figure out if I need a sub. The sound of the TV might be enough anyway ;)
I see that you have a Mac Mini... I also have one and am wondering what would be the best setup to listen to my music and watch streming movies directly on th BV11. Is your Mac connected directly to the TV with an HDMI cable? Do you use the BV homemedia platform of an Apple TV?
Thanks in advance for you help
Nice setup Hiort, if I buy a BL11, I will choose the white colour as well ;)
I have some troubles writing a message on this forum. hope this works now

Hiort, your room never fails to impress me. I love it!
These BV11's look incredible! Works of art!

I could easily vote that for the most beautiful remote control ever made. Not quite sure about best ever though, when I briefly used one I would've hoped for more tactile separation between the keys. Learnable, I guess.

I am considering replacing my old B&O TV with a Beovision 11-40. Could you provide any insights regarding the following questions:
1) My dealer is saying that a BV11 cannot be delivered with a Beoremote One because it only comes with the new Avant, and I would have to buy a Beo4 However, some posts in this thread suggest that people got their BV11 with a Beoremote One. Is there still a way to order a Beoremote One?
2) I have some old B&O equipment, such as BeocordV8000, hooked on my old TV. I understand that BV11 has limited integration capabilities, e.g. lack of Masterlink and Scart connections. If I connect my BeocordV8000 to the BV11 via SCART-HDMI adapter, will I be able to control it through the TV with the Beo4?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, the Mac Mini is connected directly with a HDMI cable to BV11. Both sound and picture go through the same cable. I am using Mac Mini both as a living-room computer (for browsing etc.) and as a PLEX media server. Wireless Apple Keyboard and Trackpad are handy for living-room use, the Mac Mini is actually hidden in a cabinet.
I also have an Apple TV connected to the BV11 – I use it to rent movies from iTunes and as a PLEX media player, streaming movies wirelessly from hard drives. I could remove PLEX from the setup and use a DLNA server to stream movies directly to BV11's built-in media player. For that, a computer would not be needed – instead a Synology Server (or similar) alone could be the source. The PLEX / Mac Mini configuration is simply a choice of habit for me.
I have also used iPad (and iPhone) to stream photos and movies directly to the BV11's media player. It works beautifully in Full HD without Apple TV, so Airplay is not necessary, just a DLNA App on the iDevice or Android device.
So as you can see, there are really lots of options to play movies, photos & music on the BeoVision – it comes down to personal choice of what kind of media setup is most convenient
The matte version is actually called Silk version by B&O. The finish does not show fingerprints or any signs of use and it feels really great, in my opinion better than Beo4. Here's another shot:

1) This has been an issue of some debate and different sorts of information here on BeoWorld. The official (?) word seems to be that BeoRemote One will be available as a separate item sometime in February/March. Yet some dealers in the world have been able to sell even the Silk version of BeoRemote One without an Avant, albeit on rare occasions. So it's obviously hard to get now, but will (hopefully) be a stock item later in the Spring. I am happy to say I got it, and that it works perfectly with BV11, including the "My Buttons".
2) Unfortunately I have no experience with legacy B&O products together with BV11, but I am sure somebody here will be able to answer this one
Hi Beodim,
I confirm that I just ordered my BV11 and could easily ask my retailer for a Beo Remote One instead of the classic Beo4 without additionnal cost.
From what I understood, he even told me that starting this year (2015) Happy New Year by the way ;) all BV will be delivered with the BR One and you can choose either the polished or the silk finish.
Hope this helps
Thanks KMA and Happy New Year!
As you said, it's great to see that there is a lot of options It makes me think I did the right choice going for Bang & Olufsen! I might ask you for more advices when I will have my BV installed ;)
Talk to you soon

You won't be able to control a V8000 that way - you could only start/stop etc it manually.
But it would be wiser to buy the Scart to Mini Din Connector 2 from your B&O dealer - it is made for these purposes.
Note: there is only one of these analog connectors on the newer BV's.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
hello fredpert - i just purchased a BL19 last week to add to the BV11 and my BL1s. It works perfectly and I connect via wireless. I played with the settings a bit and it is very suitable for music and films. It does not overwhelm, and the most surprising thing is that it made the other speakers have a clearer sound (speech in films is now very clear). Highly recommend it. It comes in white, but I decided on the grey.

Hi rxcohen,
Great news! Did you try the BL19 with the BV11 only? How does that sound? I'm asking this because I don't have additional speakers so far and don't plan to have some soon (or I will have to find strong arguments for my banker!)
Cheers!
Hi Hiort,
Do you use the BL11 with the BV11 without additional speakers sometimes? How does that sound?

For what functions you have programmed the additional buttons on the new remote

@ Beodim,
if you check bang&olufsen official website now, in the Beovision 11 section, you will see that they showcase the BeoRemote One instead of the Beo4. It seems that you will be able to get a BR1 as well ;)
Cheers
Hi Fredpert - yes I did try just the BL19 with the BV11 at the store demo and at home, and the impact of the BL19 is even greater than with external speakers. I was very surprised by the difference - clear separation of speech from the background music and sounds, coupled with more depth. If you are not getting external speakers the BL19 is a very worthwhile investment.
I cannot speak to the BL11 as I have never heard it. I initially thought wireless speakers were a bit of a novelty, but once i set up the BL19 I really appreciated the flexibility of placement that gave me.
Hope this helps and congratulations again on the BV11
Chris: Happy New Year to you KMA ! For what functions you have programmed the additional buttons on the new remote Chris
Happy New Year, Chris!
I've only programmed one "My Button" so far, for viewing TV/movies at night: it turns the BV towards my night viewing chair, selects a slightly tweaked speaker group and sets the Night sound mode.
I'm trying to monitor which sources + settings I use most often requiring several key-presses on BeoRemote One, and assign the remaining two My Buttons for those.
Hi Beogreg,
Since you also have Numericable, I just wanted to check with you what picture setup did you choose for your BV11. Inside the Numericable menu, you can either select 1080p/50Hz, 1080p/60Hz, 1080i/50Hz, 1080i/60Hz. What setup should I go for? Also regarding the sound you can pick stereo or Dolby, what do you recommend?
