Hi All
I have a Beosystem 7000 and want to add DAB or internet radio, has anyone had experience with the likes of the REVO Mondo etc ? as a simple solution.

Let me know your thoughts please
Thanks
we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
Not the system that you are suggesting but I went for the oneremote option as described in this old thread.

I have been very pleased with it. There were photos but they have disappeared, but I should be able to post them later tonight if you want to see my set up?
(Edit) I manged to transfer the piccies from the old forum:
And a close up showing it streaming digital music from my QNAP NAS.
I should have added: Of course my system has DAB, normal FM, internet radio and plays music streamed over the network via wifi. They also do cheaper versions limited to just DAB, I believe, which may suit you better.
I went for this option because I wanted the ability to control with Beo4 remote (or BeoLink 1000/5000) and this works very well.
Agree with Guy. There is a DAB tuner from Oneremote that can be controled with your Beo remote via the BM7000. Works also from linkrooms.
They call it cable link option.

There you will also find a manual in english...
Hope this helps

I would like to know a little bit more about this DAB/wifi receiver. I have one that looks excactly like yours from IRC (also with DAB/FM/internet/wifi) - but mine can not be controlled with B&O remotes - and it only has phono plugs. I have it connected to a BC 9500 like you - but I have to use that crappy remote from IRC to control it
Did they make a special version for B&O - and is it still available?
I think that 'oneremote' take the IRC receiver and modify it to work with the Beo4, either directly via the (modified) IR receiver, or through the cable that connects it to the Beocenter. The output from the modified receiver is a 7-pin DIN (datalink). I have never used the IRC remote that came with my receiver - there is no need as everything can be controlled by the Beo4, even from link rooms as stated by Stefan.
Perhaps you could contact 'OneRemote' and ask them to modify the one that you already own?
Guy:
the details on above DAB receiver can be found here design.aspx?articleid=2299&zoneid=5
Thank you :-)
I once had one of those - sure it works.
It became obsolete, after I bought my first AirPort Express (which was succeeded by a Playmaker), and I used the iPad to play Netradio in better quality - a system much easier to manage.
I am sure they would still modify that, if you want to spend the money on it - even if they today offer a different version.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
TWG: An old thread, I know, but could somebody tell me the name and manufacturer of this nice thingy in the picture above? :-)

They were obviously my pictures above, although I have now moved house (and from Denmark to Germany!). They don't do my receiver any more but this is it's replacement and they also have a DAB version:

I prefer the oneremote systems to using my Playmaker, mainly because of the ease of controlling with Beo4, including from link rooms, and also the ability to turn it on in the mornings automatically with the timer that is built in to my BC9500.

That is a point - I must admit.
Hi guys,
o.k. the input of the one remote is a little old. Millemissen suggested the one remote, because I´d like to upgrade my Beosound 4 with DAB+ and/or DAB+ with internet radio.
Does anybody know it the RDS text will be shown on the one remote unit or the Beosound unit if the one remote is fixed to the Beosound via AUX-input?
Thank you for your answers, take care

@warmmesser
BeoSound = sound only and the 'OneRemote unit shows the text.
By the way - you should be able to get a DAB-kit for the BS4, but they are rare.
