Can someone please explain me the "multiroom join" logic when executed from a product by pressing a button or through the app product "touch to join" option?
Context: I have two products running different music streams
Scenario: I tap on a third a product button, or I press "touch to join" on the product "..." screen, which product group am i supposed to join?

If you pressed Join though and it isn't the group you planned to join, press Join again (or again if even more NL devices are active)
Sandyb:But for me, it often doesn't cycle through properly
Hello mbolo01,
Hopefully I can answer your question;
Let's take your example with 3 products.
Scenario 1:
At 8.00 product 1 is turned on and is playing "Elton John - Your Song" on Deezer
At 8.01 product 2 is turned on with the app, and is playing "Fleetwood Mac - Go your own way" on Deezer
Now, at 8.03 you go to product 3 (let's say it's an A9) and tap on it: you will join product 2 and play Fleetwood Mac, because that product changed state last. If you tap once more it will join product 1.
Scenario 2:
At 9.00 product 1 is turned on and is playing "Elton John - Rocket man" on Deezer
At 9.01 product 2 is turned on with the app, and is playing "Fleetwood Mac - Everywhere" on Deezer
At 9.02 you adjust the volume slightly on product 1
Now, at 9.03 you go to product 3 and tap on it: you will join product 1 and play Elton John, because that product changed state last.
Scenario 3:
At 10.00 product 1 is turned on and is playing "Elton John - Candle in the wind" on Deezer
At 10.01 product 2 is turned on with the app, and is playing "Fleetwood Mac - Dreams" on Deezer
At 10.03 "Elton John - Candle in the wind" has come to an end, and the track changes to "Sacrifice"
Now, at 10.04 you go to product 3 and tap on it: you will join product 1 and play Elton John, because that product changed state last.
Conclusion:
The products announce all changes in volume, source and metadata to the rest of the products every time it changes, and whatever product announced a change last, is the one that will be joined first.
Hope this makes sense, if not, feel free to ask.

Wish i could say the same,
Cycling through sources on my Beosystem 4 works fine, never fails.
Cycling through by tapping (physically) my Beosound 2, and A9 can be quiet unreliable, and i end up needing to reach for the app.

To improve the latter, I switched several internal unused sources off such as Qplay and Spotify.
Carolpa:you mean joining several NL active? or do you mean the internal sources of your BS2 / A9? To improve the latter, I switched several internal unused sources off such as Qplay and Spotify.
Thanks christiank for explanation. Very clear now. But doesn't make sense. B&O has built Multiroom, but without their customers.
Only szenario 1 makes sense. All the rest is crap. Sorry for that.
Szenario 4 could be: it depends on the half side of the moon ...
In the B&O App, you can set each product for secundairy and primary multi-room product in multi-room setup.
On the Beosound Moment, you have go to the settings menu by removing the back panel.
