Hi all, I have been given a Beolab 7.1 speaker and would like to connect to my Samsung smart TV. Problem is the TV has no headphone jack to connect to so I'm currently looking at getting the S8 hub which is discontinued. Anyone know where I can get hold of one of these please as I've drawn a blank looking for one so far.

The hub is a great device. You can connect a audio device also. That way you can use the speaker with the tv off.

Hi Matt,

Welcome to Beoworld!

Once you have the Hub, the connections are straightforward:-

Please use an optical cable from the TV to the Hub: https://soundsheavenly.com/tv-input/premium-braided-toslink-optical-cable-with-metal-plugs

Please use this cable from the Hub to the Beolab 7-1 speaker: https://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/rj45-to-powerlink-compatible-all-in-one-cable-convert-new-2013-ethernet-powerlink-to-traditional-8-pin-din-powerlink

Kind regards, Steve.

Hi Steve,

I've ordered the rj45 cable from the link, looking forward to some decent sound from the TV.

Cheers, Matt.

Is it possible to use the new hub as powerlink switch between an ML TV and a Beosound core so you can share speakers? If I look at the excellent manual than it should be possible powerlink in and out.

Tx!
