Just received this unit and when pluging in the unit the clamper opens, the cd lids lift and then closes then opens again but only half way and stays there.
I did not checked yet the service manual.
Looks like the unit does not know where the clamper state is or may be a worn belt that is not able to open the clamper full way or else.
Just posting in case someone had the problem and would speed up my repair search.

The belt his most weak after several years
Check out the service manual
Change the belt for the clamper and check lubrication on the gear where the belt is attached. The belt incl the belt wheels must be free of dirt and grease.

I opened the unit and guess what ? someone tried before me and ripped the smd connector of the left clamper.
Some guys should not touch expensive goods like this and keep fooling around repairing their kids toys.
Will keep you posted if resoldering the connector stops the opening and closing behavior.
Lucky the connector is not broken and I will be able to re-solder the SMD connector.
Hi all, I have the same issue with beocenter 2, any idea where I can buy the 2732004 belt? I've emailed a few places but i'm not getting any replies. I guess they don't have it?

The belt in my BC2 is also on its way out.
I also e-mailed some places and got no response.
Maybe someone has info on the dimensions of the belt ?
How big of a job is it to change the belt?
