Beogram 4004 tone arm speed

Hello!
Recently got 4004. The device was in very excellent cosmetics,
but with an array of problems inside,
beginning from the dried lubricant before the brought-down settings.

Now new trouble! The tone arm at the button press <<Stop, moves extremely
slowly. I measured tension on the motor, it appeared 2 volts!
That is a problem in electronics, it is probable in the biggest electro-panel,
where there are tuning resistors of speed and the relay of speed.
By clicking all other buttons the tone arm moves well.
I own skills of accurate soldering, but I will not be able to define
what detail is faulty.
Help me please council.
Thanks!

Dear experts, please give a hint where the speed of the return of the tone arm from the >>Stop button is formed! All other commands of the buttons form the correct voltage to the engine of the arm, and only >>Stop gives incorrectly 2v.

I will be grateful!

Hi,

On vintage components as old as the Beogram 400x turntable you need to do a restoration rather than a repair.

Here are a couple of links ( one & two) to some recent Beogram 4004 restoration projects. They will show you the scope of the restoration tasks and what types of things you typically have to do.

There are quite a few Beogram 400x repair threads here on the Beoworld forum as well. Here is an older one that covers several types of Beogram 400x models.

sonavor! I thank that you only who responded to a trouble! Links - super.

I will explain that I made at the moment:

1. Cleaned and greased all mechanical parts

2. Configured a tone arm mechanically and on hit in inches of vinil

3. Configured rotational speed 33, 45

4. Greased both engines

5. Replaced rubber belts

6. Smoothed out both relays and all contacts of control buttons

In the beginning it was the deck in good cosmetics and with the ideal stylus, there was even no dust inside... but which worked ugly.

Then I achieved that practically everything became very good. I - naive also trusted in a good outcome!

But next day something deteriorated in the electric circuit and the tone arm practically does not return to base.

I understand that most likely updating of radio components and as you to me let know is necessary here,

that to me not to avoid it!

Glad to help. Here is another link to a page that contains quite a few links to various restoration tasks for Beogram 400x type turntables. They have good information on them.
