We're established that already (and doesn't appear to bother people....). What I find funny in that video is they just take an off-the-shelf LG out of a box and plonk it on top of the frame. A very expensive frame/sound system.
You can see the alternative speaker covers in the last few seconds of the video - wow, truly looks awful. Reminds me very much of the 80s. If that's your thing, great, but not for me:

Are you not feeling the Zen then?
I am not saying it is not expensive, though those numbers I think need a bit adjustment.
But it is the same price as the Loewe Bild 7.77 and that have a what, 3-4 year old screen, and not as good sound processor or speakers.

Just seen the video,
Not the way I had hoped for,
It is ugly AF from behind, not very B&O,
But I guess it pleases many of the voices in here, soundbar plugged to a LG tv.
Not at all as the Eclipse,
Good and bad things to say, but not what I had wished for.

Mr 10Percent: £5k bog standard generic LG 77inch Oled £15k B&O Stand and soundbar?
The price is 7500£ for the tv,
And the Harmony stand/soundbar/remote/Surround processor is 8500£
So 16000£ complete,
So a bit more than double,
Just in the beginning you can see what I think are two downfiring speakers under the stand.

Meh. Anyone can do Dolby ATMOS and point the speakers up, we at B&O point them down! Plus, no royalty payments to Dolby!

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
Am I the only totally blown off by the "Yay!" and other child like LG WebOS setup stuff ?
To me that is simply not a B&O TV.

I dont know how it is going to be on the Harmony,
But in the Eclipse I never really face the WebOS,
When in speaker settings, it looks like B&O,
And I always use a Apple TV for streaming.
And most setting like picture, stand, and sound is done directly from the Beoremote.
But that is a big question for me, how well is the Beoremote integrated???

In the stand setup youtube video, you can see the intial setup of the LG TV, and that the BeoRemote needs a B&O App to work with LG. All setup and so on are done with the LG remote.
That I can see,
But that is for the first 10 minuts of ownership, I guess that is okay.
It is more after the 10 minuts?

I believe there some B&O firmware or a B&O specific chip in the LG panel (have heard that its actually in every LG panel going forward).
Quite how it works, and what it enables I don't know - the firmware / chip is supposed to reveal itself to B&O stuff.
Again, to what extent that means LG tv's can be dropped in to a B&O ecosystem, we will have to wait and see.
Sandyb is almost to well informed to be on this forum
We've been told that the new speaker systems (to be connected to the LG tv's) will only work with the C9 panel (and newer).

It all came to me in a David Lynch like dream.....

It looked pretty naff to me.
It is a bit garish lets say.
But I guess none of the OEM smart platforms are especially elegant, its just something we have to get used to or ignore. At least the Apple TV Ui isn't too in your face.
And be grateful its not Android TV, which in its newest update will include a row of advertising. Wonderful. Garbage is too kind a word.
Yea I just read that about the Android platform,
When I turn on my Eclipse it goes directly to Apple TV, use most screen time on that platform.

Yes...thank you for the small correction. We should let that sink in.
Not even bothered to change the name on the box and in context of say the added value GBP8500 is a lot for some recycled steel and a re-arrangement of the Eclipse soundbar.
I get the Eclipse (just), I get the Avant 55/75 etc.. cool designs with a form/fuction balance. The Harmony to me is OTT in not really a good-looking way.
For me, its not really about the LG screen or B&O bolting LG on to their soundbar. To me, it is like a lack of ideals and a dare I say it a lack of engineering design. We dont need rotating soundbars. Drop-down and slide-to side speaker mechs looks better.
This design is totally unresolved and like all B&O products, it is only a matter of time before these mechanisms start to a) rattle around a bit or b) start to get gapping and alignment issues.
I think they could have done an awful lot better on this - in every technical and artistic department.
Footnote: LG77 OLED C9. Would it be interesting to know if they plan to release the harmony as a 55/65in screen and whether it will be back compatable with the Eclipse soundbar at some point in the future ("future" proof?)?
But it seemed to be a stock-LG in that video!!!
Isn’t it ‘just’ the app, that makes the difference - and this will only be available for WebOS 4.5 and later (?).
I wonder what happens, if you install the app on a C9 without the Harmony stand/system.....will it then be controlable with the BeoRemote One?
Not hat I would do it or recommend it - in case of yes - people could connect a couple of WiSA-BL’s via the dongle.....and have a pseudo-BV.
Just some thoughts - will be fun to know how these things are working.
That an app should be able to enable BeoRemote control is kind of weird!
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
I don't know why they require the C9.
Also, B&O is getting very close to becoming an audio supplier to LG - in much the same way as they were for the car industry, before they sold the name...
The OLED65R9PUA (the rollable oled) will be addressing the same customer base as the Harmony 65, both able to replace the Eclipse 65. If the OLED65R9PUA is an interesting business case for LG, why not absord B&O's tv-business?
Hi MM,
That is an interesting thought! Looking at the setup video, the C9 TV is programmed so that it will work from an external set-top box only, without using the TV tuner. The Harmony then becomes the external set-top box from the LG TV's viewpoint.
The key to whether you could use BeoRemote One with just the C9 panel is to ask whether the Harmony (ie. B&O part) accepts the remote signals and passes them to the TV via HDMI, or if the TV has a bluetooth receiver that can access the BeoRemote One signals (to pass to the Harmony processor via HDMI).
Anyone know the answer please?
[EDIT]: Whilst typing my question, Michael has answered this! The C9 panel won't function directly from a BeoRemote One, as the Harmony sound bar controls the pairing and gives instructions to the LG panel.
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.

So we have:
The LG TV is connected through HDMI and CAT to the Sound Centre, and needs a special WebOS-B&O App installed.
The Sound Centre controls the LG tv, the surround sound, the stand and provides the screen with metadata in 'Audio mode'.
Some questions remaining:* Can audio settings be configured through the WebOS-B&O App? (Speaker Groups?)* Will there be controls of the B&O Sources through the WebOS-B&O App?* Can the internal tuner of the LG tv still be used? Or will every customer be forced to use STB's and the Sound Centre-connections?* Will there be an on screen menu for Home Control (BLGW/BLI)?
It is very interesting that LG seems so interested in "helping" B&O,
The Harmony might not be the most interesting product for most of us.
But the new paring is clearly the future which is very very interesting!
Seems as a Stock owner something that B&O should be clear about.
They are keeping it in the dark for now it seems.
Most newer LG TVs can be controlled through IP, there is no mystery to this architecture. The right one i my opinion.
Everything related to the sound will be controlled directly in the Beosys and rest rest through IP, simple and beautiful.

Is that new info?
B&O was with LG for audio for cellphone and TV in 2016, but that did not alot. It is now Meridian. Is there something happening newer than this?

A positive review - never mind the comments section below (you know, why buy an Aston when a KIA does the same thing wither better reliability type of comments).

Probably you and Michael are right - interesting though to investigate how this is done.....and if if opens up for further combinations of (LG-)tv’s and B&O sound/soundcenter/s.
@Steve - I did notice this ‘using the Harmony as an external set-top box’, but did not get how to understand this.
But why should that disable the tuners of the LG?
An ‘external set-top box’ can be many things - does not necessarily have something to do with tv tuner/s.
Would be odd to have to built-in tuners (today there are several different types of tuners) to the BeoSystem located in the stand.
The Eclipse uses the tuners of the LG-tv.
Looking at B&O's setup video, when the installers go into the LG TV menu, they have to choose between "TV Tuner", "Set Top Box" and "TV Tuner + Set Top Box" - they chose "Set Top Box", which implies to me that the internal TV tuner is disabled.

This is a misunderstanding I have seen before on this Forum,
B&O have supplied sound/Branding to LG phones,
And LG have supplied TV to B&O
B&O have never had the same deal as MERIDIAN,
And IMO I hope that will never happen, that would be very bad for the B&O brand.
That B&O sell the Brand to Cellphone, Car audio and Laptop Audio, I understand as they do not sell those product them self (Any more)
Good questions, Emil!
Here is a link to an (the first I have seen) unboxing of the stock C9.
https://youtu.be/AUPkDo8z5_I
Speaking of tuners - Steve, you might be right.....though I can’t really believe that.
B&O would have had to engage in the whole tuner business again - unless the have been able to integrate ‘the C9-tuner option’ into the sound/stand-center.
At some point we will know 🙂
Millemissen:B&O would have had to engage in the whole tuner business again - unless the have been able to integrate ‘the C9-tuner option’ into the sound/stand-center.
No, today the tuner is pretty much a SOC, making it entirely a software exercise, Or you simply buy an OEM module at around 15 us$ in quantities.
