Razlaw:No. My question has to do with the imaging attainable given the technology that only the 50s and 90s have. I will rephrase it this way, to those who have 50s, is figure 4.4 on page 12 of the Beolab 50 Technical Sound Guide and accurate depiction of what will be heard when listening to the 50s. Thank you in advance for any opinions on it.

Esax:I got all but the depth. Probably due to the fact that my bv 7-55 on the floor stand whit bl 10 in between. And that everything is on the long side of the room. Razlaw:Why would I want to downgrade from 20s to 18s?
PaulGiles:No, in addition to the 20’s, 18’s as rears. As mentioned before, the 7 is now very old and that would be the best upgrade first. All depends on what you are using it for percentage music/tv.

All depends on what you are using it for percentage music/tv. Only heard the 50s and 90s with the eclipse so cannot really comment on the 7/50 mix. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with any set up with the 50’s.

Esax:Beovision 7 may be old. But that doesn't mean they're not good. I listen to music both on youtube and apple tv through the tv. But also streamed via airport express direct to the beolab 50, apple music and flac. there is no big difference in quality. May be the difference in the dacs. One big advantage is that you can set up beolab 50 to start with low latency and wide when watching TV. And high latency and narrow when streaming. Esax:Must ad that the beolab 50 is perfekt in any way. And more base than beolab 9 with 2x beolab 2. You can feel the base from the beolab 50 at low levels. And very plesent treble and not tirering to listening to. Even at very loud levels. Hard to know how loud you play until your neighbours knocking on the door. Beovision 7-55 MK1 red, Beolab 10 red. Some free advice - not that I think you need it.
Check with your Dealer what the source is going to be. Personally, unless it was for movie going, I’d ensure there’s a decent audio source somewhere handy. Listening to Spotify/Dezer etc via a BV Powerlink connection.....well think what you want...it’s ones and zeros and anything more than 320k can’t be distinguished right??

The metal grill version is a touch on the aggressive side for my taste ( and that is also influenced by the female in my life) but the silver is to die for.
Obviously, it depends on taste and furnishing but here are mine and I an going the add the smoked oak to the front of the TV next week.
The sound is fabulous :-)
