Hi forum

I think a have a good idea, but I cannot figure out how to get it work.

I have my beovision 11 in my living room and have a set of Beolab 8000 that I do not use. I came up with the idea to place one BL8000 in the kitchen and one BL8000 in the bedroom. Then I would use them as mono speaker like a Beoplay M3 etc. Wireless setup of course ;-)

But how do I do it, when I want to setup them as multiroom? I want to turn on my BV11 and then play the sound also in mono in the kitchen or in the bedroom.

Can I use a Beosound Essence MK2 or a Beolink Converter NL/ML? (damn it, that I have just sold one of my two!)
Or can it be done more simple (and cheap)?

Hi, may I suggest instead of spending money on a essence mk2, you buy a M3 or M5 instead. More value for your money as my guess is that a single BL8000 will not give you a very nice sound (apart from the odd look).

And if you really want full sound, sell the BL800’s and buy a Beosound 2 second hand.

BV Harmony 65 / Eclipse 55 / BL 50 / 19 / 18 / BS 2 all brass

BV Horizon 48 / V1 40 / BL 17 / Beoplay S3 all black

V1 / BL 3 / BS Essence MKII / Beoplay A3 all white

BS Moment / BS 3000 / BS 3200 / BL 400 all silver

Headphones / bluetooth speakers / BLC NL-ML / BLGateway

I know…B&O virus has grown on me !

Why this obsession with mono?

Mono becouse I would like to use it as a M3 or other modern speakers. I think it would look great to have only one BL8000 standing. I like when thinks are a little bit understated (says google translate ;-) And I only use my bv11 as "player" as I only have use for that. :-)

So a BS Essence is the best bid? How about a Core - is it multiroom?

Ahh, and why not connect it to the tv? Because it is in another room :)

I get you want the functionality,- but are you considering mono as requirement for a modern speaker?

I am just being curious, since my first consideration would be sound quality if I were to put (more Smile) speakers in my kitchen.

Agreed. For the cost of wireless etc. Best to enjoy the BL8000 with the BV11 then add M3 and core etc to the system.

Good idea but the BL8000 does not have any features that the multi room do such as touch and volume etc.

The 8000 will really transform the BV11

Odd setup...

Why not use a Wisa receiver  to each speaker(if its close enough to the BV11), next room should be ok.... can only try

The sound from a M3 is maybe better, but I like the speaker as much  when turned off. For the design it is much more.

Also the sound from the BV11 and BL8000 have tried - also no difference. The sound from the BV11 and BL8000 is almost the same. The BV11 is a bit better more clear. My BL8000 are MK1

Alternative if a buy a BV14 - can I use the bluetooth with a Google Chrome cast in the line in of the BL8000?

Wisa receiver - sounds good - do you mean a Beolab receiver 1 or are there other possibilities?

I think a Beolab 1 receiver is the best answer. But are there other wisa revievers? Maybe none b&o?
