"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
@leosgonewild: Thanks! Can you tell anything about the 'sound quality', coming from the ARC-adapter?
Done!!!
Placed the Beolab 7.1 on a self made bracket to the wall and used the same 'speaker-cloth' on the grill, matching the Beolab 8000's.All wires directly invisible into the wall, going to the Playmaker, hidden underneath the shelf.Very happy with the result.

Hello, have you or anyone else found an alternative ARC extractor to the one posted by leosgonewild?
I have been using the same ARC extractor which initially worked well but increasingly I've been getting a popping sound when changing channels or as a programme goes into an ad break. Works great otherwise, but the pops are annoying.
Tried another extractor by Mypin on Amazon which made no popping sound but the volume couldn't be controlled.
Set up is Samsung TV to Beolab 7.1 via ARC to 3.5mm jack. Going to try ARC to RCA to see if that makes a difference.
Unfortunately Beolab 7.1 direct to TV headphone socket makes a loud bang when the TV is turned off - but works great otherwise, so it seems ARC is the best option.
Thanks a lot. I concur. I’ve now added a female 3.5mm to rca to convert the headphone connection to an rca connection on the arc box and no more pops.
volume seems good for now, will try a few different sound options to check it out
Hello everyone,
My BV7-40 MKII passed away (black screen as so many other) and for sure it was my last B&O TV but I would like to use the Beolab and the stand for my new TV.
I didn't find a reseller for the RCA cable in UE, thus, I am going to buy 8 polet DIN and RCA and make it. Are you still using the arc decoder ? any advice on the hardware ?
Thank you
