Hi all,

I’m having a NL setup: Beosound Essence MKII, Beosound 2 new, M5.

Some CX100 stored. I want to use them

for outdoor, water protected. Any ideas to integrate them cheapest way?

My grandfather had cx100 on the terrasse for 25 years. As it is fairly cheap speakers I would just have them under roof to protect them agains rain. Wouldn’t bother with more waterproofing.

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

I'd be tempted to dope the paper cones on the woofers with something, PVA or a black liquid that dries like a soft rubberized finish, some speaker repair shops sell such. Just to make the paper cones last longer.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

If I don’t need multi room integration. Is the playmaker also an option?

Can I actually use it with the actual app which I use for my other NL stuff?

Yes, but you'd still need an amplifier - i.e a Beolink Passive.  The same connectors as I already suggested would be required and the Powerlink output from the Playmaker would automatically turn on the Passive when you started to Airplay to it.

(I can't answer your other question as I do not know enough about NL!)
