That's an answer to a question we'd all like to know, but I am afraid we'll have to ask LG that. So far no luck, that's for sure...

MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Bas Management, kleine/grosse Lautsprecher etc etc?
Danke dir!
Hi Steve,
no mix and match - either WiSA speakers or cabled speakers connected otherweise.
The speakers of the LG can not be used with WiSA speaker option activated - use another WiSA enabled speaker as a center speaker (or one with a WiSA receiver) for this.
As far as I know the WiSA Ready option is available on other LG/OLEDS too.
You can run these either as 2.0 or as 5.1.
I’d think twice before buying into this.....just my 2 cents!
Yes, has support for AP2.
Millemissen: I’d think twice before buying into this.....just my 2 cents!
steve1977:You’re typically well informed and thoughtful. What’s your concern?Do i read correctly that the TV starts with the tv speakers. So, i need to press a button everytime i turn on the tv to use wisa? And AP2 doesn’t work without turning on the tv screen?Besides this, it reads excellent! Any recommendations for a wisa center. unfortunately the stage doesn’t support it.
I am sure this WiSA Ready solution would be fine as a 2.0 channel setup (with the right speakers, that do not need a subwoofer for a better sound....whatever that would mean).
However this solution is meant for a tv!
IMO any external speaker solution for tv/movie listening should include a center channel (unless you are one person sitting perfectly in the phantom center spot).
That will not be possible - you will have to add the 2 surround speakers in order to add a center speaker.
My questions have revealed what I have heard from other sources = the setup of the 5.1 constallation is very basic.
When you know about the handles to taylor your setup you have with a multichannel processor (especially in a BSys4-based tv), you will miss something.....at least I will!
Furthermore you will have no possibility to easily swap between the different speaker constallations (like on e.g. a BV11 or Eclipse...).
It will not be possible to assign specific sources to a specific ‘speaker group’ - like 2.0/2.2 for a netradio source or 3.0/3.1 for regular tv viewing or 5.1 for movie/bluray content.
And you will not have the options that the True Image processing gives you for up- or down-mixing of the incoming sound material for adjusting to your specific speaker setup.
Or the automatic changing of Sound Modes depending on the content,, that you have there.
You will not have the option of making different speaker group for adjusting the sound to different seating positions (one person in one chair or a family in a bigger sofa.....).
Just to name some of what I’d miss.
If you can live without this (and more) you might be ok with what the WiSA Ready sw in the LG provides, it’s fine....
.....but you should at leadt think about it first - and don’t mistake it for a fully fletched B&O sound processor (or any other decent sound processor).
