Hi everyone,
I am new to the forums and I am with a company called Axiim. We make WiSA products that work with Bang & Olufsen loudspeakers. I have seen a few discussions about the new WiSA Ready LG TVs and I was wondering if anyone had any questions about the new standard?
Thank you and I look forward to our discussion!

Vince, you need to purchase a WiSA USB transmitter like the Axiim LINK. You can find more details at following websites.

When you plug the WiSA certified USB transmitter into the LG TV it will prompt you if you want to setup WiSA speakers. You simply follow the on-screen speaker setup to pair your B&O WiSA speakers. The LG TV will decode Dolby and DTS audio formats and send the discrete audio channels to the 5.1 locations so NO external AV receiver is required for decoding.
There are some significant difference between the Axiim LINK and WiSA USB transmitter. The WiSA USB transmitter does NOT support bass management and audio mixing so you will only get 2.0 or 5.1 audio. This means if you have a subwoofer it will not play audio for music or two channel encoded content. You will have a similar issue with not receiving center channel audio with 5.1 content if you have a 4.0/4.1 speaker configuration. This means you will not hear the dialog in movies or music when a center speaker is not paired. So please keep this in mind when purchasing.
LINK support bass management, audio mixing, per speaker volume trim, firmware update, and more.
I hope this was helpful.

Vince, attached is a comparison chart between LINK and the WiSA USB transmitter.
I have a pair of BL8000, which are not Wisa ready. I use them as rear speakers and I would lile to eliminate the cables.
Is there a Wisa receiver I could use?
Dante,
I believe you are looking for the BeoLab Reciever 1,
https://www.bang-olufsen.com/en/collection/apps-and-accessories/beolab-reciever-1
What are you using for your front main speakers and TV?
BL5 as front speakers, BL5 as surround and BL8000 as rear, BL10 as center.
My current TV is a old Panasonic, but I'm planning to replace it with a LG soon and eliminate my Beosystem 3.
You will need to have BL Receiver 1 for each speaker to work with the WiSA Ready LG TV. Also, please note that the LG TVs only support 2.0 and 5.1 channels of audio at the moment. If you want to support 7.1 you will need to buy an Axiim Q or other WiSA transmitter.

Vince,
1. The Axiim LINK has a DSP to perform the audio functions like bass management, EQ, audio mixing, etc.
2. The LG TV only allows you to use WiSA Ready or the TV speakers but not at the same time. Also, honestly you wouldn't want to use the LG as a center because the quality is nowhere near the performance of the B&O speakers.
An alternative is you can buy an Axiim WM5211CS center channel and we have many customers that do this.
3. This is a great question. I'm not sure if ARC works while WiSA Ready is enabled. I will check today and see.
Thank you,
James
Yes, LINK supports 5.0 configuration and will redirect the content to the main L/R channels.

I just checked and the LG TV requires you choose between the WiSA and ARC so you can't have them both on at the same time.

Right now the only LG is the only TV certified as "WiSA Ready". It's a great start but we definitely would like to see more TV manufacturers on board. In the mean time you can use the Axiim Q UHD Media Center with any TV. Here is a link,

Hello! I was wondering if by using a Wisa transmitter, like de aciim link, through the Lg Oled via bitstream, is it possible to have lossless sound?
Hi
I just managed to get an Axiim Link WISA Transmitter - combined with a LG C9 TV and some Beolab speakers. I started another thread to gain and share some experiences here:

Please do step in if you have any knowledge to share or questions

Hello James,
i just received my Axiim link and went through the setup process on my LG 75SM8600 Nanocell tv. For some reason the Tv does show any option to change between 2.0 or 5.1. Can you help?
Hi,
I stumbled upon this thread googling for wisa lossless streaming capabilities for my new setup. specifically transmitting the single through an LG G1 2021 OLED tv to a pair of beolab 28’s.
I’m interested to find out the best yet most straight forward setup that allows me to stream the highest possible 24/48 the beolab 28 can receive.
Apple TV will support the normal lossless 24/48 in a few weeks coming June. If you wire a new 4K Apple TV 2021 with hdmi(audioquest cinnamon 48) to the LG G1 -> then plug the usb innotek transmitter for 2.0 into the LG G1 -> wisa transmit the full 24/48 signal to the beolab 28?
is there loss of quality or is everything didgital until the beolab 28 decompresses the signal themselves?
I don’t think a separate bass or sub signal can be useful in this 2.0 setup, this would change in the future if B&O would make a wisa integratable atmos soundbar or if the beolab 28’s are compatible with beolink or Mozart platform
Would the axiim link puck hives better future proofing or functions?
Thanks in advance for any input or suggestions to make the most out of this new setup.
