Sounds like the PIM module, but i could be wrong... Take a pic of these stripes and post them on this thread - that'll give the tech people on here a better idea.
Has it recently been software updated by any chance?

Hello,
after more than one year I would like to report how the story continued:
In May 2013 the PIM module had been replaced, but without success.
After this a long dispute with my dealer followed, because he had no idea what to do, althogh I provided him with videos of the vertical stripes I made with my camcorder. I required to replace the panel, but the dealer refused this. The real reason for this behaviour was that he discharged his technician because of massive economic problems. With one remaining salesman and one apprentice he was not able to repair anything.
At the end of last year I gave him a last deadline to repair my BV 7, otherwise I would contact a lawyer. Finally he commissioned another company to replace the panel, this happened last week.
Now the problem is solved, no more vertical stripes on the screen during warmup period. But now there is a dark spot in the left bottom of the screen. The technician was also not amused, because it took three hours to replace the panel. So the panel has to be replaced once more because some LED on the left side doesn't work.
I am very disappointed because after more than two years I still have a faulty BV 7. And I can tell you this was my last Beovision, I regret my decision to replace my lovely Avant. I'm not willing to accept refusing repair an obviously faulty product during guarantee and also the bad product quality. It seems that there is no control of quality at B&O anymore, because the original and the replaced panel were faulty. Few years ago the dealer told me that B&O would only use the best and special selected panels from Samsung. This must have been a joke, I assume B&O only use panels which was sorted out by Samsung!

Räuber
we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
supercarrambler:Could you not claim the goods sold are unfit for purpose. Also remember the "lemon law", if a manufacture is unable to fix a fault within three attempts during a reasonable period then you are in you right a to demand a replacement. Good customer service = route to loyal repeat customers; in this climate it always astounds me when people cannot be bothered with this simple equation. We tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
Rauber, that is very poor service from your dealer.
I am worried that the BV7 still has ongoing issues. I wanted to buy a BV7 (and still fancy one) but I was put off with all the issues that kept cropping up on Beoworld. Eventually I decided not to bother and stay with my Avant until it died. It never let me down or died and eventually I sold the house with the Avant .
Now I need a BV but between your BV7 and Chris,s BV 11, what am I to do ?
Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
I don't know the price(s) - but I don't expect it to be cheaper than the BV11!
It starts up with a 55".
According to the 'info' I had, it won't be long untill it arrives - April/May?
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV

Raeuber:In 2009 I bought one of the first BV 10 that suffered from clouding and software bugs never solved after several updates, although reported to dealer and Beocare.

Good grief , too big for me thx.
If it's anything like the V1 I doubt I'll be missing much with a bv11. The V1 always strikes me as Ikea TV , cheap and nasty. The way it's constructed and feels is quite rankly naff and not what I expect of a bno.
The bv11 on the other hand is the real deal.
BeoGreg:In early 2010 my dealer made eleven interventions on my bv10-40 after changing the first bv10 I received
Sounds like a great dealer. My (now) nearest was Nimes but I do not see him listed on B 0 France. Who is your dealer ?

Yes, isn't new TV the "BV7 replacement" we've been discussing for a while? Won't be cheaper than the BV11 if it is!
Raeuber:Chris' BV 11 is a good example. I don't want to be a beta-tester, even if service and support of dealers and Beocare are so poor and they doesn't care of dissatisfied customers.
I bought a BV7-MKIII, which you would have thought was a mature TV, three revisions in, and had nearly a year of pain with B&O constantly 'beta testing' their software to support Sky HD boxes. Had so many issues!

4 beolab 5, beolab 9, beolab 10, beolab 5000, beolab 8000 mk2, beolab 6002, beolab 3500, beovision 7 55 mk2, 2 beovision 11 46 mk4, beotime, beosound ouverture, beosound essence, beoplay A8, beomaster 900 RG de luxe and the collection continues...

I have a bv-7 mark 6 and have never had a single problem, also had over 13 other beovisions and numerous speakers and sound systems and the only problems I have had were with a beosound 1 ir issue,DVD 1 kaput and a beo com problem.I think I have been lucky.
My bv5 is still giving lovely service after 10 yrs.I only buy tried and tested technology ie beovision CRT in the past and plasma, also I waited for the 6th generation of the bv7 as the early ones were not better than my bv5 hd.At the end of the day when electronics are involved you can still have the odd lemon,it's the same with cars bent lays breakdown like any other brand.
I hope it all works out though as it's a cracking tv with the best overall picture.
BeoGreg:South east of France, start´s with an M and end´s with an E.
Thanks, thats near enough, about 90 minutes.

olvisab:You have nearer b&o dealer : avignon and montpellier
Thanks for that ovisab. I had a bad experience with the Montpellier dealer.
Is the Avignon dealership new ?
Raeuber:At the beginning of March the panel of my BV 7 MK6 will be replaced once more and I hope with more luck.
Can't they just swap out the TV?!
I've had a couple of BV7's swapped out in the past. My BV7-32 MK1 had an issue (I can't remember the issue) just before Christmas one year, was replaced. My new BV7-40 MK4 had an issue with red lines appearing on the panel, dealer took a look and immediately replaced it within days after clearing the replacement with B&O UK.

Raeuber:a customer has to accept three attemps of repair before you can require swap out.
But, that's my point, I didn't. Twice I've had B&O TVs swapped out without repair. The BV7-32 and BV7-40 MK4. Both had faults within a couple of years of purchase, both were immediately replaced. No repair, nothing. Definitely no mention of 'three attempts'.
I think it depends on the dealer, truth be told. They all seem to have different ways of handling faulty products.
Yesterday the panel of my BV 7 was replaced again and now - I can't still believe it - the panel has no faults, just perfect.
So after more than 2 years and so much trouble with the dealer I finally have a perfect Beovision.
But don't tell me that B&O only uses special selected panels from Samsung, I will laughing out loudly!
Greets
Congrats!
But what now, if/when a new super-BV arrives?
Raeuber:Hi MM, if it has MASTERLINK, I will go for it!😉 Greets Räuber

Millemissen:Then you won't go for it MM There is a tv - and there is a BV.
Well, you ought to be happy (at least now), because your setup is almost perfect!
No need for a 4K-BV when you sit 2.5 meters away
Glad to hear you got sorted.
