Hi All,

We are the proud owners of an ex-demo BV10-46.  We've had the TV now for two weeks and it's fabulous, but for some reason it won't accept being set to Video Option 2, and the TV won't select any Masterlink-shared sources.

The TV will accept options 0, 1 and 4, but not 2 or 6.  We have a BS9000 in an adjacent room set to audio Option 2, and this all worked nicely together with our BV7-40 Mk II (which we traded in) with both items set to Option 2, (i.e. we could select audio sources on the TV, and TV sources on the BS9000).

The dealer who sold us the TV has been out today to upgrade the TV software, but the problem persists and I get the impression that they're out of ideas.  We're at the point of deciding wether or not to call the whole thing off and return the TV; it certainly doesn't look like it'll be working by Christmas.

Not sure if anyone else has faced a similar problem, but I'd be really grateful for any advice.

Cheers,

Simon.

Hi Simon,

I assume the system module in your BV 10 is dead.

Please check the software version: In the line "SYSTEM MODULE" you should see 50.06a or 20.06a. If you see N/A the system module is dead. The system module of my BV 10 had been replaced for three times now since 2009.

I presume you have speakers connect to the bs9000!!! Keep the main unit in option 2 but put the bs9000 to option 1 then when you want to listen to a source from the main set. Beo4 use av then tv that should work if you have the later beo 4 you will have to add it see of that works.

Raeuber,

Thanks for the advice!  I've checked the 'Monitor Information' page and, just as you thought, the System Module shows 'n/a'.  I've forwarded this information to the dealer, so hopefully they can verify the problem....

I'll report back with the outcome of this problem - very frustrating.  Thanks again for the information.

Regards,

Simon.

There is very small chance a "reset to factory default" followed by disconnecting the TV from the mains for several minutes
can bring the Sys-Module "back to life".
"Reset to factory default" means, you're loosing all current settings, program lists, ect. ...

Well, our BV10-46 is now fully functional!

It was indeed the system module; a quick swap for a new module from Denmark and all is now well.  My sincere thanks to those who helped identify the problem!

Regards,

Simon.
