Programmed BEO5/BEO6 remotes for years without any problem... until I get each time I started serialization the following message "Loading configuration failed - Please charge the Beo6 for 15 minutes, restart the Configuration Tool and try again !"

Well, it goes without saying that the battery level of the remote indicates full charge, but it doesn't help. Even if I charge the remote for hours, get the same message. It seems that the problem has nothing to do with battery level.

Did anyone encounter this problem, and knows how to solve it?

Thanks.

Have had this happen many times!

I try in this order;

1. Change USB socket you are using

2. Reinstall Beo5/6 USB driver

3. Try another computer

Let us know how you get on!

Struggling with exactely the same error and it's driving me nuts: Loading configuration failed - Please charge the Beo6 for 15 minutes, restart the Configuration Tool and try again !

Using XP Pro SP3 on two different pc's. CT 4.11.

Beo6 firmware version 2.11a
hardware version 14
supported version 0.23

Tried reinstalling, manually installing driver, everything I can think of, but do not succeed in solving this. Only thing I didn't try is hard resetting the Beo6 by keeping the center button pressed more than 30 seconds. It simply doesn't reset de Beo6 and I don't know of another way to reset it.

Kind regards,
Joost

It's seems to be a completely random phenomenon. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and this can be for hours, days.

I use Vista32 (please, nobody laughs!) and ConfigTool usually works fine.

It usually happens when I'm trying to do several serializations after another, sometimes with different remotes.

There is something, as yet unidentified at least by me, the tool doesn't like.

Will explore further.

Have you tried using another PC?

Yes, tried different PCs. It really seems random. It's a pain when it occurs as there is not much you can do about it except try, try and try all over again.. until it finally works.

There is an unstability here I don't understand.

As an IT Infrastructure specialist I do not really believe in these kind of things solving themselves ;-)

I received a link to the newest version of the config tool from one of the members here, installed the new version and it works flawlessly from start. I guess it was a driver problem, or my Beo6 had already been upgraded previously to a firmware version that was to new to work correctly with config tool v4.11

Issue solved for me,
Joost

Hi Amazone,

Can you send me a PM with the link for the newest CT?

Thanks in advance.

Is version 6.0 the latest CT? Is there a newer version available?
