Hi
Can confirm this bug with lack of virtual keyboard for the Beoplay V1 and Beovision 11 when a menu where text input is required is encountered, e.g. channel name and WIFI password
This is crucial for my Beoplay V1 as the infrared receiver is dead (Also known bug on this TV).
mbolo01: Beobuddy: No, I didn’t. Be my quest. Done. B&O Answer: will be part of 3.2 release.

Update: (for the iPad version)
-They've added an extra context menu when you tap the original standby icon in the product list. You will be asked whether you want to set the complete setup in standby or just the product you've selected. So there's not an extra standby icon, but an added context menu.

Correct, I already updated this issue status in a more recent thread about B&O App 3.2 version https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/41967.aspx
steve1977:Is there any menu where i can see what device is playing what? I’m streaming two different streams to two devices and then extend them to others. It works, but then turns into guessing when i’d like to stop the stream as i don’t remember what was the lead speaker of the second stream.
It works but I prefer the way Beoliving is showing the difference groups though.
Another inprovement would be: Standby for a Linked Group
steve1977:Also, i don’t think i can pause the stream of the lead speaker without stopping the stream for the rest?
steve1977:Is there any menu where i can see what device is playing what?
@steve1977
another way of putting this question: get the needle of the record in the main room's phono and ask yourself if you can hear the record in another, linked, room.
note: when joining you always listen to the main device of a group; changing the source on the main device, the rest will follow.
What you can do though is: mute the sound of the "group leader" or put the group leader in std.by.
@mbolo01
it works like the app, but also as the remotes. I do not see differences or did I miss something?
mbolo01:read the bottom of the screen to see what’s playing for that group
Carolpa: mbolo01:read the bottom of the screen to see what’s playing for that group Normally you will see there the group leader also
Normally you will see there the group leader also
Correct, while it is not clearly written, you realize it is the lead speaker as when tapping on other group member, the bottom of the screen still shows the lead speaker, v.s the multiroom screen where the lead speaker it is clearly identified.
Carolpa: @mbolo01 it works like the app, but also as the remotes. I do not see differences or did I miss something?
I see two different behaviors:
Assume speaker A is the lead, A is streaming an internet radio, B has joined and is streaming the same.
- If I press II (pause/stop) in the App for the lead speaker, streaming pauses/stops for all speakers of the multiroom group
- If I tap on A, or if I tap on the black button of the Essence remote paired with A , A mutes and B continues playing

Carolpa: Isn't this normal behaviour? One is pausing the source from the group leader from playing, the other is muting or putting the device in stb.by.

It is surely normal behavior, but strange that the app does not offer the same option than the physical or remote, other than reducing the volume of the lead speaker through the multiroom page screen.
I was originally answering to the OP about his concern of pausing the lead speaker that would pause the members too, as I think he would like a way for the members to continue playing. Only a physical product tap or remote tap can achieve it in a simple way as far as I know.
ngnear:I am not at home so can’t verify exactly which menus, but from memory after selecting a device you can bring up the control screen with the volume circle. On the right hand side there is either a join icon (or is it the 3 dots?) There you can see the multiroom group and add or remove devices, and also change each volume individually. Tim
steve1977:Thanks for all your replies. A few thoughts: 1) Wouldn’t the main page benefit from having some form of indication what the “lead speakers” are? How do you figure this out when you have 3+ speakers in your home setup? Or even more confusing when you have two streams (= two lead speakers)
steve1977: 3) My issue with not being able to join was a result of weak wifi. If the wifi is weak (orange or red light), it doesn’t allow to join streams. No idea why the wifi is weak as it sits closely next to an airport extreme. Only if hard-wired, it turns white. Any experience of others how to have stable wifi for the BS1?
steve1977: 4) The touch feature seems inconsistent. I don’t experience what others describe. One touch gives me a pause (if done on lead speaker, all speakers pause). I don’t know whether there is a way to “mute” instead of pause. Also, i haven’t found a way to “pause all”, but only to “stand by all”, which is different.
mbolo01:Being too close is not a warranty of good signal. I would try to move it farer as a test. Depending on your WiFi setup, it may also have chosen another WiFi access point which may not be the best choice. What is the WiFi signal quality exposed by your BS1 in the app or the configuration screen?

I tried all kind of distances to the airports. All non-B&O devices work very well over iphone (Apple TV, iphones, ipads, notebooks).
I can check later what signal strength is shown. But it's not an issue of my home network, but a B&O issue (only impacted devices).
I believe I used to set a fixed IP address, which may help solve the issue? I can look into this. Any other thoughts appreciated!
Thanks for your help.
Some progress!
Two devices (right next to each other) connect with different airports. So, I assume that the one with poor connectivity connects with an airport that is more distanced.
Any idea why this is happening?
Also, I am surprised that I see 4 airports showing up (3 on channel 11, 1 on channel 132). I only have 3 airports, so quite surprised to see 4. Also any thoughts on this?

Without seeing the output, and without knowing your environment, i.e. if there are neighbors WiFi polluting your environment, I can guess that 2 AP have only 2.4 GHz set, or have 5 GHZ set with another name, and one AP has both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (channel 132).
In the output, you should also look at the strength value of the Access point which is a network quality indicator: under 20 it's not really good, above 40 it is very good.
Why a device connects to an AP instead of another? I guess (again) that is depends of which one responded first with decent quality, or if a previously connected AP has been off which triggered a reconnection to another AP, etc .... I usually restart my products post WiFi AP restart to make sure that the best one will be chosen.
steve1977:Also any thoughts on this?

I know…B&O virus has grown on me !
Fansastic:I just switched to 3.7.0 beta version and app keeps crashing. Anyone having the same problem. I’m using iPhone iOS 14.0.01
Public version 3.7.2 is ahead from the latest available beta and works well with IOS 14.0.1
I’ll switch to the released version. in my case the main problem is that with an iPad I can use the volume hardware buttons to change volume, with iPhone the volume button doesn’t work. Otherwise, beta has been quite solid for me. So much so that I end up using the App vs. Essence remote or even AirPlay most of the time.
B&O in my life 😊:
Jaffrey2230:with iPhone the volume button doesn’t work
Interesting so the new TV will support app control

Once again the beta version is not up to date with the production version.
Oh - why, guys?
(Do they want us to stop being beta testers?).

There is a tv - and there is a BV
