Dear All,

I found on B&O web site the latest firmware version (15-01-18) for the BeoLab Transmeter 1.

I applied to my device.

Previous version was 192.5, now it's 204.1.

Firmware upgrade was done without any problem.

My system is:

Television BV7-55 -> BL Transmiter 1 (3 cables : front, surround and back)

- Front : 2 x BL18, FW: 189.8

- Surround : 2 x BL17, FW: 189.8

- Back : 2 x BL6000 via 2 x  BeoLab Receiver 1, FW: 204.1

None of the speakers, either BL17 or 18, have been updated. Remark: the BLR1 is already at the latest version.

I don't see any clue in the debug file why upgrade was not done (look at the end of this post).

Of course, I followed the guide provided with the upgrade. And I tried three times. Before the last one I powered off all devices for, at least, 60 real seconds.

Thanks for your help.

Tux

Hi All,

It seems to be a very complex question!

I still did not find the anwser.

If you have any suggestion, feel free to write them.

Take care,

Tux

Hi Tux,

Isn’t the clue the CHECKSUM error?

It suggests that the file has been tampered with / corrupted.

Perhaps try a new download to a freshly-formatted USB thumb drive?

Looking in my logs, the checksum error is present too, each time, and I don't see obvious signs of reasons not to update the BL in Tux logs :-(

I did two sw updates since I have my BLs 18/19, for the latest update I think I had to start it twice to succeed but I honestly don't remember the details. I also used the procedure later on to change the TR1 settings. i.e. to turn it into a WISA Switch.

@Tux: It seems that you have done what has to be done to update your products, did you observe your BL lights while attempting to upgrade?
