Hi,
Unfortunately I don't like my Beosound Moment. It's slow, doesn't have airplay, is unpredictable, not user friendly and I am currently using it as a glorified Bluetooth device to play music from my phone.
Even just connecting with Bluetooth is a mission sometimes.
Is it possible to remove the Beosound Moment and use something else to play music to my Beolab 18 Speakers and my BeoLab 11 Subwoofer?
Kind regards
You could connect it to a BeoSound Core, which in my opinion is a solid product and even better with an Essence remote if you want to stay with B&O’s system/app or AirPlay 2, Chromecast etc. If you just want to attach your speakers for a good solid AirPlay 2 wireless streamer then you can get a 2nd gen AirPort Express. You will need an adapter. The AirPort Express is around $50 on eBay. If not, you can use something like the BlueSound Node 2i.
I have all three and my preference is for the Core because it has a slightly better SQ (since I use it’s DAC processing) but not much. It is rock solid in my experience. The Node 2i is also good buy slightly more bulky and at a similar price as a Core doesn’t offer any extra benefits. It’s great if you want to connect them to non active speakers so you won’t be using it’s amp for the BL 18.

Thank you and what a good suggestion
Can 2 beolab 17 be added to the core? (in addition to BL18 and BL11)
Thanks
I believe you can by using a splitter for the Power link on the Core. For questions like this, I'd go with Steve from Sounds Heavenly.
