Hi,

I have a Beolink Converter NL/ML that refuses to follow any of the setup commands Sad.

The status LED continues to flash green from the moment power is switched on to, going through the setup for factory reset - press setup button, count 5 red blinks, release, press within 3 secs, orange led and then back to blinking green.

btw - the green flashing rate is always same..no change in speed for any operation.

Have tried -

1. With nothing but power connected.

2. Power and network connected - to computer directly.

3. Power and network connected - to network directly. (DHCP)

Read through the manual and couldn't find anything useful.

Any suggestions please ?

Thank you..am glad things worked out for you.

I had given up yesterday and switched of the unit and tried again this morning after 12 hrs..nothing connected ..same thing..the moment you apply power..green light starts blinking...

It seems like a PC with disk crashed..there is power but no software to boot the hardware.

Hope this doesn't turn into a expensive paperweight  :-(

You mentioned about the switch being bad - Was it the setup switch ?

I was referring to my network switch. The converter did not get a good internet connection or IP address appointed.

Did you try a different lan cable?

Got it. Yes, I have tried brand new CAT7 cable (tried to follow all requirements in the installation guide), setup a standalone network..

No luck.

Have written to Beocare..let's see what they come back with.

The pcb 01 with pre-programmed eeprom has to be replaced. If you’ve tried power off and leaving for longer unplugged, factory settings, connecting directly to the router instead via switch ( if that’s the case ) etc, that’s the only option.

Thanks Pat..How much does the PCB cost ?

I assume that's the small PCB connected with two ribbon cables ?

There are only 2 pcb’s inside - pcb 04 psu and pcb 01 main board - the one with all of the sockets and connectors. The part itself £150 + vat, the faulty module has to be returned to B&O DK, otherwise price of the part will be £301 + vat. Labour cost on top of that.

Issue with a used 1890 model.

The green light is blinking for about 1 minute and then shut off. Is this a normal behaviour? or should the light stay solid green?

When the button is pressed, whenever the number of blink always get the same results: 5 and half red blink and then no orange light or confirmation when the button is pressed within 3 second to reset for example (here I was waiting for 7 blink).

I was expecting a number of blink equivalent to the number of red blink before the button is released.
