Hi All,
I have several MCL2A in my house, and all work fine, except one.
I have no sound on the left side. What can i do ? it has the Number 2045.
if some can help ...
Thanks
Best Regards from rainy Alsace
Theo
Check all the connections.
Start with the speaker cable on the LHS, at MCL2A and speaker end.
Swap the speakers and/or speaker-cables over (L to R and vice versa) to 'fault find'.
Finally check the connections at both ends of the thicker MCL cable that connects the MCL2A to the rest of your system. You will have to open up the MCL2A to check the terminals inside.
EDIT: See the photo - check that the wires from the thicker cable on the left are all correctly terminated:
These are usually very reliable.
Check all connections to 'speakers and box as Guy has suggested
If you are convinced that the problem is inside the relay box,you can remove the pcb to investigate if the actual print has fractured under the MCL cable connector strip.
This can happen if the terminal screws were overtightened during install.

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
I'll check all cables etc..., and let you know in a few days.
Best Regards
If your MCL2A has failed I have a new one somewhere?

I checked and re checked, but nothing ....
even my first mcl2a doesn't answer anymore.
