This is the second Archived Forum which was active between 1st March 2012 and 23rd February 2022
We haven't had any contests for a while, so here is one - your job is simply to spot & name the systems or units in some thermal images
Some are trivial, some hopefully not so. The winner is awarded a night in his favourite pub at his own expense

Vähintään yhdeksänkymmentä prosenttia suomalainen!
bayerische: You have heat leaks Mika?
Awesomeness!
Pic 3 pair of recently worn socks, Mika is getting frustrated by all the global warming talk, sitting in probably 2 meters of snow.
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

2. MX TV and Beolab 8000
3. Dirigent and wet feet
4. Beomaster 1000
5. AV9000?

Peter:5. AV9000?
Oh, Peter - You should know better...
-of course it's an MX model.
Well, since Dennis have already guessed it, I'll just go for Second Price - a half night at my favourite pub
Steffen: Peter:5. AV9000? Oh, Peter - You should know better... -of course it's an MX model. Well, since Dennis have already guessed it, I'll just go for Second Price - a half night at my favourite pub
In my defence, an AV9000 is just a flash MX6000!
Looks like Dennis is the winner - although I suspect he has cheated by reading my other posts in the past
Honorary mentions to Steffen and Peter, who will have to settle for half pints throughout the evening
The camera I used (FLIR Scout TS32pro) is designed for outdoor use, so closeup pictures like this are all somewhat out of focus. You can spot a deer hiding behind foliage 200 meters away though, so the heat differences it shows are really minute.
I guessed without going down to the bottom of the thread.
P1: 9500
P2: MX, BL8K
P3: IDK
P4: BM1K
P5: MX
P6: BS6500, BL5K
How'd I do?
EDIT: Pretty good!

Oooh, I answered this one, damn &%$/%"§#+ä´ß$)"§(?!"§$#+ !!!
Anyway it was the simplest, I think ...
Nice collection - I think I know them all but I think someone else should have a go! I like this era of kit when B&O really did make everything!
Thanks Peter...
Yes, I like this era too, all object in my collection (and there are some of them, you can be sure ;-) are coming from this period, let's say 1960 - 1985).
I am sure you know them all (or at least 7 of 8 ;-) but you can try yourself and so long I do not publish the right answers (ok, cona is allready solved) , nobody can be sure the answers are correct ;-)
And you can win a beer too!
tournedos:Looks like Dennis is the winner - although I suspect he has cheated by reading my other posts in the past
Me? Cheating?
Admitted! I probably wouldn't have guessed the BM1000 and Dirigent 610K without help.
Cheers!

Wow! That is a handsomely preserved vintage system you have there. I am guessing 6-8 equipments?
