We haven't had any contests for a while, so here is one - your job is simply to spot & name the systems or units in some thermal images Smile

Some are trivial, some hopefully not so. The winner is awarded a night in his favourite pub at his own expense Wink

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

Big Smile   In my defence, an AV9000 is just a flash MX6000!

Looks like Dennis is the winner - although I suspect he has cheated by reading my other posts in the past Laughing Beer

Honorary mentions to Steffen and Peter, who will have to settle for half pints throughout the evening Smile

  1. Beocenter 9500 on standby - and an unplugged Beogram 9500 under it. You wouldn't be able to see the Beogram nor much of the cable mess, but a radiator to the left of the image keeps this area particulary well "lit".
  2. MX4000 on standby (note how the IR transceiver area with the standby LED shows) and a BL8000.on standby. The latter keeps the column warm halfway up. The hotspot on the floor is where I charged the camera some time earlier.
  3. Dirigent 610K almost one hour after having been turned off Surprise and footprints on the laminate floor where I stood for three seconds a bit earlier. You can barely see the dial area of a Beomaster 900K under the Dirigent, also been off for 10 minutes or so.
  4. Beomaster 1000 playing, water in the glass still cool.
  5. MX6000 on, BL5000 on standby in the background.
  6. The same MX and BL5000 on standby, as well as Beosystem 6500: the Beomaster & CD on the left are on standby(!), the Beogram and Beocord on the right unplugged.

The camera I used (FLIR Scout TS32pro) is designed for outdoor use, so closeup pictures like this are all somewhat out of focus. You can spot a deer hiding behind foliage 200 meters away though, so the heat differences it shows are really minute.

Nice collection - I think I know them all but I think someone else should have a go! I like this era of kit when B&O really did make everything!

Thanks Peter...

Yes, I like this era too, all object in my collection (and there are some of them, you can be sure ;-) are coming from this period, let's say 1960 - 1985).

I am sure you know them all (or at least 7 of 8 ;-) but you can try yourself and so long I do not publish the right answers (ok, cona is allready solved) , nobody can be sure the answers are correct ;-)

And you can win a beer too! Yes - thumbs up
