Does that just mean that they will not maintain the list anymore ? My BS5 has a "Last N.RADIO Update" of 2020-06-19. And I could see in the logs that it downloaded 441 logos today.

BM 5 N.Radio Station list will not be updated, Only BS 5.Brgds/Fritz

It make sense allright, BM 5 can work as a standalone without BS 5.The BM 5 software is cheking when booting up, if BS 5 module is connected, and loading the BS 5 software version. If not connected, it's loading the BM 5 software.Try for youself and see.Pls remember that BM 5 was also sold as a standalone unit..

I am confused.
Are we talking about Beosound 5 Encore here ? The Beosound 5 in combination with Beomaster 5, is just display and controller ?
We are talking about Beomaster 5 with or without Beosund 5 connected. With Beosund 5 connected N.Radio Station List updates are still comming.Beosound 5 Encore is another product.

Ok, it just seems odd that the BM5 standalone does not get the update, I thought it was the same SW they where running ? I guess what they mean is if it is build into a BV9 or similar ?
Correct.
The BM 5 is actually an update of the BeoMedia 1. The issue was that one needed a TV to prgramme the BM 5.Then B&O came uo with the BS 5 solution, så it could work as a standalone without at TV.As you have written before, the BS 5 is the replacement for the TV, but with a lot more features than the BM 5 itself. Brgds/Fritz
Fritz:but with a lot more features than the BM 5 itself.
My point: Fritz made it sound like the BM5/tv combi is something completely different from the BS5 (the BM5/BS5 combi). I disagree with that vision. Lots of the features were introduced much later when the BM5/BS5 sw had matured.
beolion:Much easier to scan your music compared to TV
beolion:You can assign N.RADIO to RADIO and N.MUSIC to CD
beolion:You can assign BM5 as DNLA server
beolion:Spotify integration (when it worked)
beolion:You can use the USB input on BM5 with a.aux
beolion:You can have the BM5 “on” all the time for quick start up
beolion:Ability to attached a CD to play and/or rip CD
SO at the start the BM5 was the successor of the BM1 and the BS5 a new/other interface to the BM5. Later it was just the BS5 (the combi BM5/BS5) which evolved!
Correct..Many of the highligts were due to suggestions/feedback from customers.
Reason for this was the decission to EOL the BS 4 and BC 2, meaning that B&O would not have a music system. However this thread is about BM 5 N.Radio Station List Updates.
Fritz:However this thread is about BM 5 N.Radio Station List Updates.
So why should the Netradio part of the BM5 be different if connected to a BV from connected to a BS5?
That's the way B&O designed the system. BM 5 standalone with BV connected "system one"BM/BS5 with or without a BV connected "system two"

But it is, and dont ask me why :)I agree it would have been smart if using same system. When BS 5 was put on the marked as a "add on", the BM 5 software soon after was EOL,and only the BS 5 part of the software was upgraded and updated. Dont ask me why :)BM 5 was designed for Beo 4, BS 5 was designed Beo 5 and Beo 6
Brgds/Friiz.
Dear AllB&O Struer has today updated the Beomaster 5 N.Radio Station list. The version: 2020-07-15Beomaster 5 is no longer End of Life. It's has taken a long time.
repeat BM 5 is no longer EOL..
Beosound 5 and Beomaster 5 is not the same product.Beosound 5 is an addon to Beomaster 5.Beomaster 5 can Work as a standalone without Beosound 5.
Fritz:Beosound 5 and Beomaster 5 is not the same product. Beosound 5 is an addon to Beomaster 5. Beomaster 5 can Work as a standalone without Beosound 5.
The issue is the N.Radio List. The update list on BS 5 is not the same as on BM 5.Described in ealier posts. One need to know the software and hardware difference between BM 5 with or without BS5.As written before, BM 5 is an updated version of BeoMedia 1.The update list for BS 5 does not Work for BM 5.And the N.Radio update list is only updated on request if the a detailed URL for each station is attached, and will Work on the BM 5 platform.
Sorry to say, Its corrrect with regards to BS5, inkl regions.BS5 uses another platform. Pls keep BM 5 and BS 5 completely separated. It's two different products. Not all in the B&O support is aware of this.Pls read this thread from begning to the end.Espeacilly if you have a Beovision 9.
.
To clearify BM 5 as a standalone unit without BS 5 connected., uses N.Radio another station list. .Try for yourself:Pls remenber to make a clean reboot without any cables from BS5 connected to BM 5And use a compatible Beovision to accesc the BM 5, according to the BM5 manual.Pls revert with date of update from BM5 as shown on the Beovision in N.Radio mode.
It will only use and update the BS5 N.Radio station list which is updated weekly.
There might be two issues:Check that the BS5 is set to automatic software update. If so, the database might be corrupt, then do as follows From B&O Support: Usually, the product updates the database once a week.If the CD ripper has not been used on the device you can then delete the database on the Beosound 5. To do so lever on mode => wheel on settings => press right+left+right+left arrow then GO => maintenance => delete databases thence the system will reboot. Wait for a database to download after rebooting.
Nice to hear :)About NetLink, it might be a setup issue in the ML/NL converter.Thats why i am using BM5 as standalone using MasterLink for remote operation..
The BS5 was designed for ML operation, then the BS5 software was updated to use the Network using Beo6 two way. If the BS5 works after the N.radio list update, this means that ML link will work also.using N.music and N.radio. Via the Netlink the BM5 can transfer N.music and N.Radion to a BV without a ML connection. Eg BV11. If your Netlink product has the same issue, then you need to do a Database cleanup. Reference the extended usermanual for the specific product,, similar to the BS5.I have used a NL/ML converter, and here it was a setup issue, Used a lot of time to solve this, but after it worked perfect.Hope this information could help.
I fully understand, and a total reset and reboot will not be an option in this case.Hope that you will getting it solved. BM5 uses one platform, BS5 another etc.It would have been smart if only one platform was used.Good Luck
