When I play my BS9000, it functions normally, but when it reaches CD6 it has the following issue:

The sledge seems to stop a few millimetres offset, then it tries to adjust before it turns off. Sledge then returns to top position.

Is it doomed, or is there an easy fix for this?

I managed to fix this.

I opened it up, release the sledge, and then I moved it from left to right several times. It was giving a small resistance between position 5 and 6, so I moved it back and forth there several times.

Now it works like a charm again.

Have to admit that I was pretty sure I was making an expensive doorstop.
