mbolo01:M5 new software available too, same version that is not working for Hiort and that B&O support confirmed to be buggy ....
mbolo01:Core is also on the software update list.
Until now all seems to work normal. Didn't find big changes yet.
The app showed the tracknumber of a CD played on my CD3000. But that will be an update in the app itself.

I just updated my BS 35.According to the Bang & Olufsen support, the new update is a new Audio Streaming Engine.Since the app has not yet played AIFF files, I have been streaming through Airplay 2.So, I am not sure I notice any difference.
Does anyone notice any difference?

In 1.22 and 1.24 I'm unable to use Chromecast for almost a month : "Authentication server unreachable, stopping Google Cast!"

A9, BS 1, M5, Cores all updated for me and all TuneIn radio stations are working and nothing seems to have changed (which is good for me). So no issues. FWIW, I have Google wifi Mesh in my home with 4 access points and everything is on wifi. It took around 5-10 minutes to update and restart all the speakers. I have taken my Stage offline (in storage for now) so that is the only one not updated.
No audio dropouts and no issues with joining speakers etc. So overall successful for me (unlike the update to my Sony TV (Android 9) which eliminated the ability to turn the TV off from a connected HDMI device and reduced HDR brightness GRRRRRR - hate Sony)

I have received reply on my request that they provide me with the earlier firmware that worked and that Im willing to do the update if they can provide the file for me.
"Please note that we are unfortunately not able to simply roll back your M5's firmware to 1.22.38751.68306899, this might cause a bigger problem to your M5 instead of fixing it, we kindly ask for you patience until the next firmware release, it should be able to resolve this situation with your M5. "
Possibly this has to do with the new "streaming engine", making a rollback impossible.
So right now I have a M5 that I cannot use. Frustrating, but the good thing is that they admit that it is a bug.

So funny .... which means that people that are not configured for automatic updates, nor have manually updated their M5 are in BIG TROUBLE !!! waw, scary !!! I updated my M5 several days after my other products and it was working (well) as before during this period
I fortunately don't have the message you have but I have had one issue so far, related or not to the update, it is hard to say as I think I already had similar case:
As usual, I pressed the M5 top to join the Core playing an Airplay source. No sound. Looking at the B&O App, the M5 had effectively joined the Core but no sound coming out the speaker. Playing with the hard & soft volume control had no effect. Going to another source like Deezer, DLNA or TuneIn was not successful either ...... up to a point sound finally came out the speaker without the need to restart it.
Looking at the logs, the M5 had a FPS crash and the FPS module restarted. Case raised, logs sent, I'll keep an eye on this.

Just had similar experience on my A6. Played Deezer source on my A6, expanded to M3 and BS1. Suddenly sound stopped. Looked in the app and everything looked normal but volume sliders did not have any effect.
When checked in "Critical Events" log around the time problems occured:

Yes. The logg was from the A6.

FYI: At least for me, raising cases through the app does not work. While the process seems to complete OK with the App, B&O never receives my cases, so I'm now using the web support contact route, B&O seems to be aware of the App issue for raising cases and told me a fix will be available in future release ...

Thanks for bringing this up. I have now entered the new issue via web support.
Coming back to my M5 problem, I got more feedback:
"It appears to be an issue that appeared at that time that seems to be impacting certain customers. Whether this was introduced by the firmware update in question or a different factor outside of our ecosystem is still under investigation by our software development team though considering the overally rarity of the issue it would appear to not have been the firmware update itself. In either case, though, our software team is working on an update to resolve this issue to ensure your speaker returns to proper functionality."

I really don't think this is an issue related to only a small amount of users, got the same issue with my 2 M5s, basically making them unusable for me.
Network itself seems fine, I'm running a meh network and have exceptional good performance everywhere, the device itself confirms this
I really don't understand how a premium brand can go so lightly over a total function breaking issues like this
