Hello! Im trying to locate a problem i have with my beocord 3500 cassett player.
I have removed the glass front panel and unscrewed 3 screws from under the touch glas panel. also the screws on the back. but i dont dare too use more force to remove the topp. It still sits in its place.. Cant find a single good video on the internet either that shows how to do. Anyone here who have done this before that maybe wanna be specific what to do here :)
I want to get to the drivelines to the cassett driver wheels. I thinks maybe the drivelines are broken. because the wheels wont spin when you press play
Thanks in advice.
Open the lid using the motor drive.Lift out the two small claws (see photo) - only just enough to allow the lid to slide up and off.

Great thanks for that helpful picture!
Now, i think i have solved the problem. found a rubberband on the bottom plate. that had fell of the driving wheels. i have now put it in place again. but its hanging very loose. should it do that ? or do i need a band that is more thight?
Here is a picture of it when i place the rubber band into place again.
Yes, definitely a wrong or bad belt.New correct parts are available from www.beoparts-shop.com
Thank you for that! i ordered one right away!
While making that progress i did encounter a new problem. I opened up the gear that connect to the motor for the lid. But now when im trying to assembly that thing i just cant get the peices to fit. I opened up my beograf cd that has the exact same solution for the lid opener and looked at that one. I know were the peices should be but they just dont fit.. I have been trying to assembly this the whole day now.. Is there any info out here that can show more exactly how to put all the things together right?
I cant find any info at all.
After 2 days of figuring how the mechanics should work on the opening mecanism i found out that the metal arm that is supose to move the plastic wheel that is attached to the lid is supposed to clip around the plastic wheel... DOH!
