I have taken up the idea of adding a Core into my setup.

Currently I have BS1 integrated to my BV11 (with BL3s and BL11 connected) so I can access BS1 sources e.g RADIO and MUSIC from my BR1 (IR).

I now thinking of removing BS1 from this setup and integrating a Core in exactly the same way, and also connect my Beogram/RIAA to the Core.

Questions:

- Will I be able to assign the Core sources to the BR1 as I have done now? I assume so...

- I read somewhere that you can adjust the gain on Core line input. Correct?

- Heard somewhere it lack Chromecast but webpage says it has Chromecast. Correct?

- I do not intent to change the remote so I will use the app if I want to e.g play a record. Any drawbacks with using the app in such case?

You can do pretty much the same as of now - with the addition of the line-in possibility, that the Core offers.

However, you could (physically) connect the turntable directly to the BV11 - using the analog input port there....of course with the right adapter cable.

Built-in to the BV11 is also a netradio function - don’t you use that?

(Yes, the Core has support for Chromecast built-in).

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Thanks,

I have the turntable connected to the BV11 now but I’m after the possibility to adjust the gain on Core input (if possible) since I have to crank up to 65 on the BV11 when listening and when my wife change source it’s superloud Big Smile

Not using the the net radio in BV11.

Hiort:

You can set the line-in volume level, but it implies you cannot change it later on via a remote (physical or app).

So if it is integrated to your BV11 where the volume control is, then it may work.

BS Moment, BS Core, BG 4002, BC 4500, BS1, BL18, BL19, BL8000 + RCV1, A6, M5, M3, A1, P6 (tks Botty), H5, TR1

I’m in the same situation. It annoys me that I can’t stream music directly to my bv11/bl5/bl3 living room setup.
How would you connect the Core to the bv11 Hjort in order to say airplay or use the app to stream music?

Currently I have to utilise the Core that runs my dining room bl8000/bl11, then turn on the bv11 and then add the bv11 on the app to the Core as a link speaker. It does work but it means the dining room is playing all the time as well..

I will use “product integration” in BV11 to have Core sources available. I can then add those sources to the BR1 .

Not sure what happens if you airplay och chrome cast to the Core, if that will wake the BV11.

Yes, core integration to BV11 works.

It “disappears “ from the APP but you see it in BeoTool and it shows connected to BV11.

You can stream etc as normal then to the BV11 via the core but it is just named as the Beovision room name.
