One of the bass drivers on my BV11-46 have started to generate a distorted noice when I play something more bass rich.

Are they possible to source?

I got a reply from my dealer that they have experienced other customers with similar problem.

Could be a problem with an amplifier module.

I will contact their service technician.

Was going to ask first if you were sure it hadn’t come loose in any way, but glad they seem to have an idea of how to fix itSmile

Sure, its not loose or anything.

It’s a “scraping” sound when there’s more bass content playing. Sounds weird.

Service guy will order a driver as first option an then and come by and see what needs to be done.

Maybe try a few things to help him out, as in go on youtube and look for a bass sweep track and see at what frequency it happens and if you can tell if it’s the cone hitting something or if it’s the amp. Just an idea to possible make the fix come in quicker. Smile

Problem solved. It was one of the preamps that had problems. After a quick service visit the BV11 is back in its old glory again Smile Cost 3500 SEK = approx 345 Euro including travel and servicecost.

It’s great that they didn’t have to take it off the wall bracket to repair it. Thoughtful design.

Serviceman: [extracts Kay Bojesen Monkey from the connections wiring trough, places it on the table] "Ahh, there's your rattling noise!" [Exeunt omnes.]
