I recently got a BV 10 from a cousin for some reason he did a hard reset so he is unable to set up the tv again .He lent it to me to see if I was able to get to work again. The problem is I am unable to get at the TV turner set up menu or other funchons like link freq.i have tried menu+0+0 but all I get from options all how to set up all the av1_av6 menus.Hoping some will be able to help
I have beo 4 I have a access to to the bv10 manual but it does not say how access the turner set up,when I press tv nothing happens I have to press menu and all I get sslee p timer, play timer, options. Then I press options I get connections and all I get is av1-av6-hdmi expander.Idont seem to be able to get tv tuner
If he really did a hard reset via the Service menu, then when you switched the TV on subsequently it would take you through the "First Time" wizard.. Did this happen?
Can you still access the Service Menu?
Regards Keith....
Yes I am able to get to the service menu , return to factory settings I press go it said after 30 secs. it will reboot I pressed tv and then a blank screen I press menu again the same things happen again as I said before
Sorry Keith the set up wizard did'show upnt
Could it be a ‘hotel version’?
Serial and type number might tell!
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
I can see serial no. 22758060 how can you check to se if is a hotel version
Enter the Service Menu and look at Monitor information which will tell you the configuration including four digit "Type" number
Type no.9541 and the photo I sent with it went missing
OK, A type 9541 is a Mark 3 version with a 32" screen and you did not say but I am assuming that it has an DVB-HD fitted
I suggest that as a first step you do another reset and this time after the reset you press either SAT or DTV on your remote and go through the first time setup again.
No luck ,DTV will not start up as they ar not asigned in A1to A6

Your statement makes no sense to me either..
You talk about assignment, but in the case of TV and DTV there are no assignments. You can disable TV and/or DTV tuners but by default they are enabled after a reset meaning you don't need to assign anything to get the TV to function.
Please take a photo of the "Monitor Information" found in the Service Menu and post it here.

The thing that makes no sense to me about their description is that AV1-AV6 should not be assigned to the HDMI Expander after a hard reset -- why does it think there is an auxiliary Atlona switch as default? (Makes one wonder: Was the question ever answered, "Did this unit come from a hotel?" That's the only use I can think of where the *hardware default* would be no TV Tuner input, only pulling from a central server w/assignable cable boxes acting like the Atlona.)

Exactly - and that is why I already asked.....and got no answer.
Probably neither the rhone nor his cousin, the owner will know.
I suppose a dealer should be able to look it up given the informations in the photo.

The Monitor Information image does answer some questions, for example it does not have an DVB-HD fitted.
Also the owner is located in the UK, but my guess is that it was purchased pre-owned from outside the UK because all BeoVision 10's sold in the UK had a DVB-HD fitted as standard meaning it was never an optional extra.
My guess s that the previous owner paid for an activation code for Atlona.
It did not come from a hotel otherwise it would have a B-to-B details
Questions and Photo please:-
Keith Saunders: Questions and Photo please:- Was this BeoVision 10 purchased in the UK and if it was purchased from a UK dealer? Can you please provide a photo of the connections menu
My cousin was working in the Holland so I assume he brought it second hand there and it was working okay till he started messing around with the settings
