Dear Beoworlders!

I know it is obsolete but...

(Still) Every day my BV Avant NGs (MkII) software does its best to make me cry. I know that B&O will never do another update and I am left alone since the first day of purchase. So if anybody from B&O is reading this – your disregard makes me never thinking of buying a BV again!

Back to my question: did anybody of you get a private solution? Is there a stable software which could made to run on my TV instead of the crappy version of something android?

Best regards

Elmar

Mine was working great until yesterday. Now I get a pop up randomly every few minutes that says “BeoUserLogger has stopped working.” And the PUC isn’t controlling the STB anymore.

Not sure what happened but it’s really annoying all of a sudden. I’ve tried restarting, logging out and back in. May try a reset but don’t want to re-setup everything.

Dear Andybandy

thats very kind from you...

First: software is slow - ok that’s not a bug...

the apps are crashing regularly- blue box ... is not responding- wait or close;

Once a week the whole system crashes - black screen - android- new start

EPG is not doing fine; channel on sidebar stuck - not moving; going right (future) stucks

arrow up/down: EPG during watching TV (small insert at the top of the screen) does not update

HDD is not found - says that there is no HDD

Playback HDD records: skipping to certain time point not possible

CI: Module not recognised- put out and in or new start works again- by the way: what the hell did they have thought giving two slots which are only working with one card?!?!

best regards

Elmar

Hi, it seems this is not only software issue, but seems you have a main board issue. I would contact your local dealer and send in this list to them, and i think you would Get answear change your main board. I was thinking since you have so many big issue it was something like you describe, and i have change another tv main board because of simular issue.. after that is work great again, yes, android base software is slow, but not crash anymore.

So let they change your main board..

beotex: You should Reset to factory, if that not work, main board change maybe ? But this is more software issue i think, but if it start to go in to more würst connection it could be a start of defect main board also her. But start to Reset your tv to factory, and Remember to login to Google account and update all the apps, delete apps you can delete and not us.

In any of these cases factory reset is a MUST, then set it up again. VERY IMPORTANT : sign in to google via laptop, tablet or mobile. TV doesn’t accept anymore sign in with email and password. All of the Android app must be updated.

If issues still there after few days, Small Signal Board + Big Signal Board have to be replaced. They have to be pre-programmed by B&O in factory for particular serial number. It is the equivalent of Video Engine in Avant mkI, V1 and BV11.

Dear all!

Thanks a lot for your thoughts and educated tips

Till know I was afraid of a factory reset cause I can remember, that my dealer was not able to set up my satellite reception (I am useing an unicable system); by luck I could do the setup on my own...

It seems that I have to talkt to my dealer... hopefully he will understand my needs (till now he suggested to trade in for a new BV)

Have you any idea how much it would cost to change the main board or the signal boards? Just not to be that much helpless talking to my dealer...

best regards

Well, I don’t have a 75 Mk II, but a 55 Mk I. Had the DVE replaced last autumn for the fancy price of something like 1500 €. So I would guess it would be the same for yours. Luckily for me, the insurance company took that bullet for me.

Following up on this thread.

A few restarts and an overnight rest seemed to have cleared everything up. Not sure what the issue was, but everything is back working fine. Hopefully, just a random glitch in the matrix Smile

Would be nice, though, to get more functionality from the operating system, but my hopes are just that. Great TV otherwise.

Most of these annoyances can be taken care of by clearing the cache in the Android side of the TV. Clear that and response should return.

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

Thanks for all your ideas!

I managed to improve the satellite signal and I think this also helped; a bad signal - could it be a reason?

but: my bad dish signal was caused by a splitter which is needed to feed the twin receiver; now I lost the ability to record....do you know any high quality splitter for a unicable installation? Any idea?
