Hi everyone,
This is my first post, and am hoping someone can help me with what is hopefully a simple connection question.
I would like to connect a BeoSound 3000 into a BeoVision Avant 55NG so that it can play through the various surround sound speakers. I have the NL/ML BeoLink convertor but lost as to how I connect this as there are so many options, and am struggling to make sense of the manual or any links online.
Master Link (?) from BeoSound into NL/ML is ok as there is only one option, but is it then r45 to TV, and if so, into and from which connection options?
Any help really appreciated, and apologies if this is an obvious question/answer.

Hi Seanie, thank you for replying.
It's not connected to the TV at the moment as wasnt sure where to connect, and was running out of plugs.
Does this mean I need to connect the NL/ML into a router and not the TV? Makes sense as I had never realised that NL meant Linked to the Network!

Connection:
1. BS3000 - ML connect to - BLC (Beolink converter NL/ML) - LAN connect to your network
2. BV Avant - preferabel LAN connect to the same Network as your BLC (otherwise use WiFi)
Setup:
Open setup of the BLC (B&o app beter easier on a Mac/PC).
I presume you have all the speakers connected to the Avant.
Goto tab: Configuration, sub tab Settings:
1. check ML enabled
2. ML-role = V Master
3. Confirm with Save (do this with every change, otherwise the settings may not be changed)
4. Goto sub tab Experience mapped to NL
5. enable/check the sources of the BS3000 (CD, Radio, Aux). Note: you can rename the sources to, for example, CD3000, AUX3000, etc.
6. Confirm with Save
How to Play CD/Radio/Aux
1. open B&o app
2. add the BLC (only the first time needed)
3. goto Home
4. choose BLC
5. tab the BLC name on the black stroke (left below on the app)
6 choose "..."
7. select your source (Radio/cd/aux), the source should start to play
8. when play, select "multiroom" (the two rectangles)
9. add the Avant
10. point 8 and 9 can be replaced, by selecting JOIN on your Beoremote One

Razlaw:That should be possible, correct? In the Masterlink settings of the converter I have set DVD and DVD2 to control Music and TuneIn from the Core. I am very new at this, less than 24 hours.
Razlaw:I have been trying to get it set up. I have an Essence, V1, Core, and M5. On the Masterlink side I have a BV10, BV7, BS3000, BS5, and an active kit.
You should, instead of DVD/DVD2, use ML sources not physically available (PC or V.AUX2).
Note: because your BS5 in combo with a BS3000, you can not set the ML role to Source Center. Then the NL sources could be programmed as N.Radio/N.Music in the ML side of the system; and because of the BS3000 the CD/Radio command can't be used..
The solution to this issue would be introducing a second BLC.

Did you program the IR mapping correctly?
Razlaw:DVD did work in the room with the Active Kit. Now have a much more major problem. All of the settings seem to be the same to me, but must not be…LOL. The BS3000 and BS5 will now not turn on..If I try to use CD as a source via NetLink on the V1…..the V1 displays CD but the 3000 does not turn on. Even if I sit in the same room as the 3000, 10 and 5, they will not turn on using the BR1. The BV10 also will turn on.

My integration of ML in NL:
1. The system is completely NL based
2. BSys 7000 is connected using a T1611 to a BLC and primary linked to my BV11
3. BS9000 BLC connected (ASlave: primary linked to Shape)
4. BS3000 BLC connected (ASlave: primary linked to BS35)
So I can start a ML audio source locally as a source of a NL device and Join it on all my NL devices.
This way you will not be limited by ML sources available.
Carolpa:Thinking about your system, the trick using video sources for audio sources won’t work 100% correctly. 1. The BV10 or BV7 doesn’t have a source programmed as DVD? 2. You have to free audio sources to work, but almost all are used 3. Try using A.Mem

Yes, BV7, BV10, Beolink Active, BS3000, BS5 all connected by Masterlink and controlled with N Music and N Radio Commands.
This morning I tried the PC and DVD commands on the Active. It did turn the speakers on but no sound. Interestingly is the Essence if turned on, the PC and DVD commands to the Active turn the Essence off.

Carolpa:the ML role is set to V Master, but note on ML side you already have a A.Master. This will introduce trouble in your setup!
Carolpa:Goto Home in the app. Choose the Beolink Converter NL/ML. Open multiroom (two rectangles). Join the Essence. Sound?
Carolpa:Sorry, I didn’t pay attention. The problem is NL sources to be heard on ML. So how are the sources set on the tab “Sources visible on ML”.
