Hi, I have a beocenter 5000 and a non Beo TV In a small room (around 9 square meter). Now I am planning to add some speakers to connect the BC5000 and the tv as well. Any recommendations? The space is quite limited and maybe panel or otherwise small speakers preferred. I had thought maybe Beolab 4000 or some smaller from RL series..
Beocenter 5000 was made for passive speakers. It won't connect to active speakers without some "adapting".I would suggest Beovox S45 or S45-2 (type 63xx) or perhaps Beovox 3000/5000 panel speakers.

I always found that CX100 speakers are especially well suited to small rooms.

lawrencejmcook:I love the look of the CX100s and have a couple of pairs myself, but in my opinion they have searing treble and need careful positioning. Lawrence

Maybe time to recap them. Made a difference on mine.

Have CX100s attached to my 5500 system - never shrill - I wonder if they were set up in dealer fashion to sound exciting! However I would echo the S45.2 thought above - fantastic smallish speaker.

The S45.2 are indeed great classics, but definitely bulky compared with the CX's. My office is about the same size as the OP (9 sqm) and I sure would not be able to fit them in here.
Thank you for your kind replies. Regrettably BV45-2 are too big for this purpose. I have thought maybe I could install some smaller speakers from Bv C(x) series quite close each other (as sort of soundbar-like) as I want to use the speakers with the tv as well and as the space is quite tricky, I most likely must install speakers under the tv side by side. There's no room for a speaker on the right Side of the tv (corner and door).
Since they need to be under the TV I'd look at Beovox RLs (using the built in stand).
