Carolpa:

Fansastic:
Notices a strange behaviour with my Halo. Playing from my Moment through the Harmony and when changing the volume, the volume ring (not the actual volume) springs back and then after few seconds springs forward again. It does not occur when I use my remote one, them the volume ring on the Halo shows the actual increase / decrease of the volume.

Anyone else who can reproduce this glitch?

I noticed it also, saw it happen several times already.

There are some similar behaviors with lights via the BLI.

Good afternoon

Just ordered a Halo for my table next to my sofa which I will also need to buy :)

No idea why I need one or what I will use it for but the potential for Bli and the TV control and plain old just why not made me do it :)

I'm sure you'll like it, Sean! We can collaborate on some fun macros. Which color did you get?

Morning Beojeff

I got the Natural one as it was in stock and I wanted it fast, Not a fan of gold, black would have been nice but didn't want to wait.

Something odd happened overnight. All of my 4 Halos at home lost connection with the BLI. I had to remove them from the app, do a factory restore, and re-add them to the app. Fortunately, none of my BLI configurations were lost.

I noticed that when I restart my router there are times that Halo has adifferent IP address (for example xxx.xxx.x.180) but when you access Halo's menu to check the IP address is not the same (xxx.xxx.x.181). When this happens I lose the connection of the Halo to the bli (there is no screen for controlling the lights etc) but the connection to the B&O products (i.e. essence) remains. If you check the interfaces setup menu of the bli the Halo shows as online. A restart of the bli solves the problem.

Thank you for the suggestion. Restarting the BLI would have been much easier than restoring every Halo to factory settings and setting them up again. I wonder if it might be advisable to set static IP addresses for the Halos.

I got my Halo today.

Funny feeling I opened it, installed the FW update, linked it to all my products (Dont know if thats the right thing)

Added it to my Bli.

Now I dont know what its for really.

A beautiful remote that I wont use or maybe I will who knows.

You can use the wheel to adjust your lights, thermostat, and set scenes from your BLI macros. I find it's pretty convenient to adjust the volume of the beovision using the wheel.

I think you can not feedle around with the IP of the Halo. A useful thing thought it would be to be able to restart the BLI via the setup page..... :-)

I had the same feeling till I used Carolpa's macro for weather and clock..... after that I find myself reading LUA and complaining to my wife that only three pages and eight buttons per page are not enough!! She doesn't understand what I am talking about but this is my way to get the permission from her (the minister of finance of the house) to get a couple more but wall mounted this time!

I should be able to set static IP addresses for the Halos on my router. The IP address and MAC address are all that are needed and they're on the "network" screen on the Halo. I recently set static IP addresses for my Twinkly lights and Tradfri bridge so that I don't have to keep re-installing the integrations in Home Assistant. If the problem happens again, I'll give it a try.

do so. I have set all B&o devices to fixed IP addresses (for a long time) in my router. My experience: stability and accessibility is beter .

I can't answer for Tassos, but when I started I had one page for light etc. one page for ML audio products and one for my BS9000 cd's. Then I noticed there were only 3 pages for programming available. I opted for a page to JOIN products but skipped it.

Now I have reduced it to 2 pages (and not all buttons are used).

First page are my scenes and info: Clock/Weather, Bedtime, Cinema, Relax, Night, Morning, Color Mode (for my projector).

Second page is my control page: Open Door, Thermostat, Alarm (Arm) not connected to the proper alarm but triggers a macro which permits the alarm to arm, Main Entrance lock, Elevator Lock, Garage Gate, Beogram 5000, Beogram CD 50.

Third page has only lights: Living Room Spots, Dinning area spots, Kitchen, Ambient, Veranda, Garden, and a master that controls all lights together.

Told you 3 pages and 8 buttons are not enough!!! Big SmileBig SmileBig Smile

My nightstand Halo has some very useful buttons: clock, morning, and goodnight. I have those set on the first page so that if I roll over to look at the Halo, the clock appears.

The Halo should have automatically populated with your Hue lights, Hue scenes, etc. You might want to go to the "interfaces" tab of the BLI setup and tick the box for the Halo for automatic configuration. The automatic configuration gives a nice starting point before customizing the configuration.

After another reboot of my router, I encountered the same problem with the BLI not finding the Halos. This looks like it's a persistent problem. I've reserved IP addresses on my router for the Halos, BLI, BeoMaster 5, BeoSystem 4, and my two BeoSound Moments. Hopefully, this would improve stability.

What Home Assistant driver do you mean. Could you import homekit products into BLGW or the BLGW into the Home-Assistant-World?

The BLI can add Home Assistant as a system and add various resources from Home Assistant to control via Home Assistant. For example, you can add Ikea lights and Twinkly lights that have been added to Home Assistant. It's just for BLI, though, and not for BLGW.

I am sorry but indeed it is not the most stable product. It seems offline in the bli setup page. It needs to be wake up on Lan probably to save energy. Did you pick one up before resetting your Halo”s?

When you come to the proximity sensor it shows bang & olufsen and after 10 seconds I see the kitchen core page which I did NOT set as default page?

Anyone experiencing this as well on the default page?

I need 5 buttons in the hall. Nothing more. It starts to get annoying. I do agree that ipads in the wall are clutter however stable, more overview easier and faster to operate then the Halo. As I already have a monitor in the hall to show the camera”s ehen somebody presses the doorbird, the Halo was a good solution but fast no and especially the default page and startup time is annoying. Maybe better on POE?

I do not want to be to negative as it usually turns out fine in the end but waiting 30 sec to leave my home will get me back to Alexa and calling goodbye.

Hi there

When my halo proximity sensor detects me it goes right onto the normal page not the logo.

The Bang & Olufsen logo is an indication that the Halo has restarted. I sometimes see this screen, too. I also sometimes see a message on the screen telling me to use the app to setup the Halo. Usually, the problem just goes away on its own and the home automation screens reappear. Khimo is aware of the issue and is working on it.

Thank you for the explanation. Another argument for upgrading from BLGW to BLI Whistle
