Hi,
I hope someone can help. I just brought a Beogram 5000 from ebay (it was an impulse purchase), it has arrived very badly packaged. The tone arm had been taped down. I have plugged it in and when you press play the arm does not raise up but skims across and hits the record.
I hav set the antiskating to MMC5 and the tone arm to the correct pressure, but it does not lift off when play or stop is hit. Any idea what could be wrong?
Is this an easy fix? Don't want to take it apart incase I have to send it back.
