Been away from B&O techie things for so long I can't think what I am supposed to do...Sorry.

I need to set up the BC9500 to work when connected via masterlink with Beovision 7-40.
All was tickety boo when the Avant was connected, but have now lost Hi-fi sound.

Appreciate your help

Graham

You need a converter Beolink Type 1611 and setup the options for the devices. Search for masterlink handbook on the web, that pdf will help you a lot.

Best regards

Ralf

Hi Graham

In principle replacing an Avant with a BeoVision 7-40 should not have any issues assuming the option programming is correct.

You haven't given any further details such as if loudspeakers are involved and is so are they connected to the BeoCentre 9500 or the BeoVision7-40 if they are active speakers.

A bit more information will help with trying to diagnose the problem.

Beovision 7-40 mk2 connected to

Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 2

masterlinked to

Beocentre 9500 & Beogram 9500 with converter

Set BC9500 to A.OPT 0, BV7 to V.OPT 2.

I`d set default SPEAKER modes to audio- 2, video-3. It`s in the SOUND menu of your BV7.

Now the phone should also be able to control the volume for video and audio.

Ralf,

I too have no idea why he ignored your advice.  It was not obvious that the converter was connected - it was not mentioned!

Oh don't be silly.  You're a newbie!  Ralf told you what to read and it is now clear that you hadn't read it!  Do you really expect to be lead by the hand ... ?

You didn't even thank him for trying to help!

Thanks for your support Guy.
I appreciate it.

The answer from Graham just makes me sad.

I am thinking of leaving this forum in April (another year has to be paid for...), since I don't like the tone anymore.
(see several thread on the general forum).

People sign up, ask questions, no thanks, just rudeness.
Happened before...

Ralf
