M3 - no software update possible

Hi all,

Just got my hands on a new old stock M3.

Never been used so the software out of the box is version 1.6.xx

I’ve not managed to do a software update, as the app does not provide new software to update. In BeoTool I can see latest version is 1.12.xx and also that it cannot connect to Beoportal. Due to this I cannot log in to my Deezer and TuneIn account.

Any ideas how I can update the M3?

I have same issue.

Here are screenshots of the one stuck on 1.0.15059

And the one updated to 1.12.47109

I have a few of them in my closet for future expansion. Will try another one to see if it has same issue. Maybe some server issue from B&O?

You can stereopair them through Google home if you have two. Quite impressive sound.

A local store was selling out their supply. 100€ per speaker. I have 10 now Stick out tongue

That is an amazing deal! I use it as a bathroom speaker, nice sound. I can imagine if you are able to pair 10 of them you will have quite an impressive sound stage Big Smile

Are you 100% confident they can be sereo paired?

The bigger M5 can't...

WoW Surprise

I use the one I still have (2 were stolen) to give some deep bass punch to my BL17s.

Impressive effectively.

This is intriguing!

a. Is the left signal send to the speaker set Left and the right signal send to the Right speaker by an app casting?

b. Or is the original signal cast to both speakers and the speaker due to its setup reproduce the correct signal?

c. Or is this a misinterpretation and both signals left and right are the same? 

 

b. would be interesting! then one would expect NL could do the same!
