Hey Guys,

I have two Beocom 2s. One is technically working but scratched/broken and one is nice looking but has the display glitch. So I want to make one functioning one out of it.

I already removed the battery and the buttons of the keypad. However I don't get any further, and I don't want to apply any unnecessary force.

Does anybody know how to disassemble the Beocom 2 without breaking it? There is a video on YouTube, but the quality is very bad (often not in focus) and it seems like the guy is breaking a lot of parts in the process.

Thanks

Lenny

You need pliers with very long fangs. Or you can use two long metal bars (?)/sticks. There is kind of a c-ring in the middle that you need to squeeze together to slide out the internals.

It’s 6 years since I opened one, so this is all from memory, so maybe not super accurate.

Are you talking about this C-Ring which is behind the battery and secured by a Torx screw?

So after removing this C-Ring you can pull out the insert from the Top? Are there any other "clips" which need to be unclicked?

Correct.

I am pretty sure that the whole thing will slide out when it is removed.

But you’ll find the service manual in the site also.

Nope, not for the Beocom 2. Unfortunately!

Looking at the picture, it looks that that is not a c-ring. I think that if you take out that screw, you can slide the internals upwards and out at the top.
