Hi forum.

I bought a pair of S45-2 new in 1980, and now I want to put them to good use again after they were standing in the loft.

I read that there's a risk that some old glue will fail, causing the magnet to drop, and thereby bending/damaging the voicecoil.

What could/should I do to prevent this?

NOTE: I'm not able to tick the Question option above.

Kind regards,

Rune

Hi

I would be tempted to try them out first, then maybe look at this thread for some inspiration ;¬)

Thanks a lot to both of you - I will now take out the woofers, clean the area where the epoxy will be, and apply the latter.
