I have a feeling the best person to help with this would be an aerial fitter.  I assume that since he retune, which possibly was a result of them moving some channels around your aerial and cabling now isn't providing the BBC frequencies to the TV.

i don't understand the technicalities but we had exactly the same.  The guy went into the loft for 20 minutes and all was well again.

I would try deleting all the channels and re-tuning.  If the signal on other (non-BBC) stations is fine then it is unlikely to be your aerial/cabling because the terrestrial stations will all come from the same transmitter and BBC will be at least as strong a signal as the others.  You should be able to check the specific frequencies and reception for your area on a site like this: http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/help_and_advice
