Hi
Seem to having a lot of problems lately!!
Now the datalink on my CD3500 isn't working....the wires came off the plug. I looked on Beotech for the wiring diagram and resoldered the wires put the CD won't switch on when I select CD on the Beomaster. I;'ve connected the wired as follows:
Pin 7 - White
Pin 5 - Blue
Pin 3 - Pink
Pin 2 - Shield
Anyone have any clues? It can't be because I've connected a Beolink converter to link the Beosystem and my Beovision. Both on Opt 1
Thanks
Ben
Haven't you got pins 5 and 7 mixed up ?Pin 7 is datalink and that's usually a blue or yellow wire.Pins 3 and 5 are left and right audio signals and they are usually white and red.

Hi Martin
I just changed the wires around as you said and still won't come on when CD is selected on the Beomaster. Otherwise I'm getting sound etc.......
If its gone faulty I'm going to lose my mind!!!
Could it be that the datalink should be at pin 6 ?I must admit, I don't remember.
Which Beomaster do you connect it to ?
Its connected to a Beomaster 3500. There is no pin in 6, there never has been. Only been a pin is 7!??
Anyone have the correct colours for wiring to each pin? As far as I can see from diagrams, white is datalink?
Is it possible to damage the datalink?
Red is right signal Pin5
White is left signal Pin3
Blue is datalink Pin 6 or 7 ( or both so they can be used with RIAA or non RIAA systems)
Regards Graham
Thanks Graham
I'll check them again when I get home after work. I guess if the datalink doesn't work after this then I've run into a problem.
There are almost always some protective diodes associated with the datalink signal.I suggest you check them.
Its the beogram with is the problem....maybe the cable is faulty? I tried the Beogram on my Beomaster 6500 and it did the same thing,
Even though I have a multimeter I would know how to test a diode....is there anyway I can test the cable?
Thanks again!
