Hi, a friend was playing with my phone a few weeks ago and suddenly broke the headset jack on the top of the phone.

Actually it got loose but useable. However when I tried to remove the cable it tore out the entire jack and I was left with a hole and four small cables.

Has this happened to anyone else? I think the connector is a very strange one and you apply quite a lot of stress on it because of its stupid design (Ericsson originally I think).

I took the phone apart (fun of course, at least when I finally got it apart!) and took everything out and realized that the cables where extremely fragile and stiff.

Had to take apart my other BC6000 to see how the wires to the connector should be.

Managed to solder the superthin and short cables and assembled everything again - with a lot of superglue inside the small plastic case that the connector goes into to minimize the risk of it happening again.

Success! It works.

I'm putting up pictures later in case anyone might have use for them for the same issue :).

Only cables left.

Headset jack and short, hard and fragile cables.

Cables resoldered to the headset jack.

Assembled, with lots of super glue to keep it there.

Mission accomplished!

Test OK! Smile

Seems that superglue is a B&O's best friend.
