Hi,
I've looked all over or an answer but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.
I have a PS3 hooked up to my Avant 28" VHS (8133), and would like to know if there is a way to disable the screen, whilst listening to music.
I often listen to music all day... so this would be really useful for saving power, and prolonging the TV's lifespan.
Thanks.
James.
Welcome to the forum!
Not sure if it will work for you, but did you try the AV button as explained here: http://archivedarchivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/20396/152173.aspx#152173
Thanks Guy, but that didn't work. Can't even add the "AV" function, as it isn't in the list on my remote.
However, there is an AV button on the remote... but pressing that seems to do nothing. I even pressed it at the same time as I pressed V-AUX, and still nothing happend.
Am I missing something?
Got it setup in V-option 2?
Greetings MM

You should press the buttons sequentially, AV then V.AUX or whatever.
As suggested by Millemissen, you may well need to check the 'option' settings. Turn the system off, press the RED button and LIST together, then press LIST until OPTION appears in the display, then press GO. Press LIST until V.OPT appears and then press 2. This puts the TV in Video Option 2 and should change the way that it responds to remote commands.
You may check if <<P.Mute>> on Beo4 works on the Avant. That shuts down the screen.

Sadly it doesn't!
