I think Millemissen has a clear point here.
Also Steve's motivation should be very clear in this subject ... selling cables ... and as long as customers demand such solutions, there will be business in it.
But i fully agree with Millemissen at this point. Everything else seems to be workarounds, not doing justice to the product.
I got the Les Miserables soundtrack on bluray optimized by B&O, look forward to listening to it later :)

Hi Michael,
you MUST be in the mood for hearing it.
That is no 'easy-listening stuff'!
Me, I am looking forward to hearing and seeing 'Les Mis' tomorrow when it is launched (at least where I live).
Might be easier to enjoy the music, when you have the picture as well
Greetings The Mis
There is a tv - and there is a BV

Hi Rookie,
please don't judge Steve so hard - he is also a real BeoWorlder.
I was just wondering, why people with the knowledge of the info in the 'Quick Guide' did not pass that information on a 'little' earlier.
As for Vienna, I do respect, that he wanted to be sure, sure.
No harm done - we now all know that there are more possibilities with the new 'little beastie-set' as first expected
Greetings Millemissen
Hi Millemissen,
Thanks for your understanding. I wasn't at liberty to pass on the guide until after the launch unfortunately........when I was ready to upload this, I saw that you had already provided a clearer image than I had available
My main motivation is my enjoyment of B&O products, selling cables is just a means by which I can justify spending more time with B&O!
Kind regards, Steve.

I would love to do like you Steve, but cables "made in Mexico" wont sell much I presume.
As for the BL 14.
I'm waiting to hear someone testing and comparing in "real" life, specially the 2-1 setup, with non B&O surround amps
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Hi Søren,
sure they ship to even Mexico - let us hear when you have tested the set 😉

... clarification accepted
So...
Has anyone actually bought the BL14? If so, what do you think?
I'm still not convinced about the design, but they do look far better on the wall. One thing I was impressed with was how easy it is to change the speaker frets. It's a simply unscrew, remove, replace. I've not heard them in person though as I was only in my dealer for a few minutes the other day.

Hi Millemissen!I have not seen the movie yet either, perhaps I should try that first also :)
I walked in a B&O store today and they were testing the speakers out under black covers for the launch tonight.
The speakers were running at full volume ( i.e. loud). For what it's worthwhile I didn't hear much distortion and they sound quite nice - sorry I don't have golden ears.
BTW - Steve thanks for your reply, much appreciated
Picture of the penthouse cocktail party used by the Richmond store to launch the BL14.
Bumped into Andrew there .... and I suspect he took more and better pictures than I did !
(As I said in another thread, the cocktail party approach was not conducive to a Beoworld inspection & demonstration !)

A few xxx tinnies might have been more agreeable :-)
Listened to the Beloab 14 set yesterday at my 'new' B&O dealership.
Not sure what expectations I actually had but the BL14 set is great.
I am looking for a pair of speakers to start using my BS9000 again and I have listened to BL8000 (2nd hand set but as new) and the BL14 2.1 combo. And although hard to explain and maybe also hard to believe I felt that the BL8000 was missing some elements in sound spectrum (midd-base / tones) and that the BL14 ticked all the boxes for me.
I brought my own music (cd's) and played songs like Toto 'caught in the balance' , Mando Diao 'infruset' , Lana del Rey 'Video Games' and Eva Cassidy 'Wayfaring Stranger'.. For me the BL 14 was most natural but this is a personal preference.
Upgrade to the 4.1 combo and have the set linked to my BV10 as well was also interesting and definitively something I consider.
Will have another listing session together with my FS as her only need/request is to hear the TV better :-)
Anyway, the BL14 is a set that must be listened to for all hat consider buying new speakers. It will surprise you positively.
