I notice there are new DVB software updates. Do B&O publish a change log for these or are we owners expected to guess what the improvements are?
The 1.9.9.0 is the one for the DVB-HD, and has been for some time
Peter
Beovision eclipse 65, Beolab 50, Beolab 18, Beovision 11, Beolab 3, Beolab 2, BeoVision 10, MLGW, BeoLink converter Nl/Ml, Beosound 5, BLGW
Thanks, But there's no information (on the B&O site) stating the changes made for each revision. I could understand them not publishing this information if it was an engineers job, but the customer is expected to carry this out so needs the information to see if its worth bothering with the download/USB stick etc.
Mine is still running 0.1.8.9. Should I upgrade? If so why? What are the changes? It seems to work OK except for the 4 seconds or so of blank screen when changing channels that is.
Hi David
I can't remember the changes, but I am running 1.9.9.0 on my BS3, and I think it is just as stable if not better.
Ps: 4 seconds pr. channel change does not sound right. what TV do you have ?
Beovision 8-40 type 9560 build 210. DVB HD (not T2) s/w 0.1.8.9
Channel changes are slow as I said around 4 seconds from command through blank screen to picture reappearing. Source change is slower still approx 5 seconds. For e.g from TV to DTV.
As far as I heard from Struer, the 1.8.9 to 1.9.9 update fixes some bugs for UK television, and you shouldn`t update, if you are using Conax with Canal Digital.
So if you are based in UK, just try the update.
Stefan
That is useful to know thanks Stefan.

Eight years after this post and I just carried out this update on my 'new' BV10-32. I am not yet sure what has changed, but thanks Stefan!
