Hi all, would a Beogram 5500 work properly with my 5000 system & MCP 5000? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks Mike

I'm not positive, but I thought it was only a cosmetic change from the 5005 to the 5500, so it should work just fine.

I'm not sure either, I thought it was something to do with the RIAA and the MCP. I think i'll just buy it and hope for the best. Thanks for your help.

It should work - you aren't controlling the BeoGram directly with the MCP5000, the signals go through your BM5000 via DataLink.  I've even used a BeoCord 8004 with my BC2300 without any problems as they use the same type of DataLink as described here.

The 5500 will work perfectly with your Beomaster 5000.
