Hello, Beoworld!
I recently acquired a BeoMaster 7000 and I've connected my BeoLab 3s and BeoLab 11 into the system without issue.
Everything works perfectly, except each time I use the system I must change the default volume settings from a badly preconfigured state that the prior owner must have saved. Here's what I mean:
Is there a way to clear these values and/or do a master reset on the system? The only remotes I have available to me are the Beo4 and the Beolink 4000.
Thanks so much!
On the Beo4, press the SOUND button (under LIST) until your parameters show on the Beomaster's display. Then correct them with the ^/v buttons and save with pressing store twice.
Vinyl records, cassettes, open reel, valve amplifiers and film photography.
I have never heard of a Beolink 4000 but the 1000 is more simple to use for storing settings.
Set it to your liking and then sound, store, store
It is a bit more complicated on a Beo4 as you have to locate it on list first but the instructions for doing are the same regarding of Beo4 or Beolink 1000.
Thanks, Søren Hammer and Friedmett!
I'll give this a try tonight and let you know.
This is yet another one of those strange "Beo-isms" that I see comes up a lot, as it certainly got me a few times... The whole "preset startup values" thing. Never really understood why B&O just didn't stick with the convention of leaving settings where they are when the product is shut off. Maybe it plays better with Masterlinked systems or something, but I know I almost killed a pair of BL1s because of this once (a BeoSound 9000 that was set to like 55) and for whatever reason the BL5s were set loud enough that I could hear faint hiss in the background which gave it away before I really pumped any music to them. Very dangerous for the speaker drivers.
Resolved by following the suggestions in this post! (Adjusting the sounds to my preferences and then pressing sound, store, store on the remote)
I completely agree with you, Playdrv4me -- at the very least, they should have an option to offer to remember the settings from the last session.
