Hi! Thanks for this great forum!
My problem: when turning on the initial volume of the speakers is 40 which is way too loud for me.
My setup... one Beo4 Remote and:
Room 1:BeoSound 9000BeoLink ActivePair of BeoLab 4000
Room 2:BeoLink Active Pair of BeoLab 3000
Now as I said when turning on either of the speakers the volume is 40 which is very loud. I can not configure the volume through Beo4 - only Bass, Loudness, etc. are availible.
I opened the control panel of the BeoSound 9000 and tried to lower the volume. The LCD shows a lower volume of e.g. 20 which I can save. But it has absolutely no effect.
How can I set a global initial volume of 20 for my speakers?
Thanks for your help.
When you set bass/treble volume level will be set.
Too long to list....
Ok the volume level is set. But now I have the following Problem:
The volume is still very loud when turning it on, and Volume 0 is not silent, but only lower volume. It just shifted the volume range.
Sounds like you have a problem with your BS9000.
Is it possible that this is a problem with the masterlink configruation?

According to my memory you also need to set each masterlink set separately, not only the master. You can have a loud kitchen so to speak, and a silent bedroom.
Could your problem be there?
Thanks, yes that is a valid point.
How do I select a masterlink set separtely?
As you are using beolink active twice, the initial volume is stored in these actives. Not on the master itself, as you've propably haven't connected any speakers to it's powerlink.
Try using A.Setup on the Beo4 (you probably have to add that function) and use S.Store.
hi beobuddy thanks for your reply.
i only get bass treble and loudness when using a.setup on my beo4.
a volume setting is never displayed.
which "v.opt" "a.opt" "l.opt" config should i use with my setup?
After using A.Setup (press Go) isn't there a S.Store option after Bass and Treble by pressing the list button?
Choose S.Store and press Go.
By using the beolink active, settings aren't visible.
If I understand correctly, you have a BS9000 connected with two Beolink actives. These actives have their own ir-eye.
Pointing the Beo4 at these ir-eye(s) will set the beolink active. i also assume that your speakers are located in a different area than where the BS9000 is located? Correct?
Thaaaaaaaaaaaaanks BeoBuddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you got it to work.
